Senior Full-Stack Developer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Full-Stack Application Developer with over five years of experience to join our team in Karachi. The ideal candidate will be proficient in delivering production-grade web applications from start to finish while leveraging modern AI and agentic workflows responsibly. This role requires a deep understanding of how to integrate AI tools effectively without compromising code quality or maintainability. The position is full-time, on-site, with working hours from 2:30 PM to 11:30 PM, and offers a salary pegged to the USD.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver end-to-end web applications using agentic spec-driven development, transforming ambiguous requirements into clear specifications and acceptance criteria.
- Utilize AI coding assistants such as Claude, Codex, or similar tools to accelerate development without introducing errors or unreviewable code changes.
- Maintain codebase integrity by avoiding AI-related issues like hallucinations, over-abstraction, and environment-specific bugs.
- Apply context engineering principles and manage complexity through back pressure techniques to ensure scalable and maintainable solutions.
- Decompose complex problems into manageable tasks that can be reliably executed and verified by AI agents.
- Take clear ownership of projects, ensuring human decision-making drives the process while AI tools enhance execution speed.
- Design and implement front-end solutions using expert-level React and Next.js skills, focusing on UI architecture, component design, state management, performance optimization, and responsive, accessible CSS (Tailwind or equivalent).
- Build robust back-end services with NestJS, emphasizing clean architecture, modularity, authentication patterns, and API design.
- Manage PostgreSQL databases with expertise in schema design, indexing, migrations, and query optimization.
- Deploy and maintain applications on AWS, including handling production deployments across multiple environments, implementing security best practices (IAM, least privilege, secrets management), and utilizing storage and messaging services such as S3, SNS/SQS, ECS/Fargate/Lambda, RDS, and CloudWatch.
- Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, GitLab, or similar tools.
- Develop and manage Docker workflows for both local development and production environments.
- Use Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform or AWS CDK to provision and manage cloud resources.
- Ensure strong observability and debugging capabilities through logging, monitoring, and tracing tools such as CloudWatch, Sentry, and OpenTelemetry.
- Build and maintain multi-tenant SaaS platforms with robust role-based access control (RBAC) and permissions management.
- Write clean, testable, and maintainable code with clear pull requests and reliable deployment practices.

Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in full-stack web development.
- Expert proficiency in React and Next.js for front-end development.
- Strong experience with NestJS for back-end development.
- Solid knowledge of PostgreSQL database design and optimization.
- Hands-on experience with AWS services and cloud infrastructure management.
- Proven ability to implement CI/CD pipelines and Docker-based workflows.
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or AWS CDK.
- Experience with observability tools for logging, monitoring, and tracing.
- Demonstrated ability to work with AI-assisted development tools responsibly and effectively.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on scalable, maintainable software architecture.
