Senior Full-Stack Web Developer

ENGAGE MENA is seeking a skilled and proactive Full-Stack Developer to join our team. In this role, you will collaborate closely with the Project Manager to transform project requirements into secure, reliable, and user-friendly applications. This position is ideal for a self-driven individual contributor who is comfortable managing the entire development process—from technical planning to launch and ongoing enhancements.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop responsive web interfaces, backend services, databases, and APIs that meet project specifications.
- Translate product requirements and design assets into fully functional features.
- Recommend appropriate technologies and maintain clean, reusable codebases.
- Integrate third-party services, including AI APIs, as needed to enhance functionality.
- Implement robust authentication, permissions, and secure data handling measures.
- Configure cloud hosting environments, deployment pipelines, monitoring systems, and backup solutions.
- Test critical features, troubleshoot issues, and optimize application performance.
- Document development processes clearly and communicate progress, timelines, and technical challenges effectively.

Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in full-stack development with a proven track record of independently delivering production-ready applications.
- Proficiency in frontend technologies including JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Next.js, HTML5, CSS3, and Tailwind CSS or similar styling frameworks.
- Strong skills in responsive, mobile-first UI development, accessibility, reusable components, and converting Figma designs into working interfaces.
- Backend expertise with Node.js (Express or NestJS) or Python (FastAPI or Django), including API design and server-side programming.
- Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL, including schema design, migrations, indexing, query optimization, and ORMs like Prisma.
- Familiarity with REST APIs, webhooks, OAuth, third-party messaging, notification services, and resilient handling of external API failures.
- Solid understanding of authentication and security best practices, including role-based access control, session management, secure file uploads, input validation, rate limiting, encryption, and safe handling of credentials and personal data.
- Knowledge of background processing techniques such as job queues, scheduled tasks, caching, retries, and asynchronous workflows; Redis experience is a plus.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, or similar), covering application hosting, object storage, CDN, DNS, and SSL management.
- Familiarity with development workflows involving Git, GitHub or GitLab, Docker, CI/CD pipelines, environment configuration, and database backup/recovery.
- Competence in testing methodologies including unit, integration, and end-to-end testing using tools like Jest, Vitest, Pytest, or Playwright; plus logging, error tracking, and performance monitoring.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
