We are seeking an experienced Data Engineering and AI Solutions Lead with over six years of expertise in data architecture, engineering, and AI development. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Google Cloud Platform (GCP), particularly with BigQuery and Google Cloud Storage (GCS), and hands-on experience with advanced AI technologies such as Gemini Enterprise and Generative AI. This role requires a technical leader who can design scalable data models, implement secure access controls, and develop innovative AI-powered analytics solutions. The successful candidate will work closely with client stakeholders and technical teams to deliver high-quality, governed analytics and AI capabilities across multiple cloud environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Connect, integrate, and model client data from multiple cloud platforms and diverse data sources using BigQuery and Google Cloud Storage.
- Design scalable data models and schemas while implementing role-based access control (RBAC) to ensure secure and compliant data access.
- Develop and enhance Gemini Enterprise functionalities, including conversational analytics, grounded search, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and AI agents.
- Integrate the monday.com Gemini Enterprise agent to enable seamless data connectivity across various sources.
- Create AI-powered self-service analytics solutions tailored for non-technical users by leveraging agent creation and the Model Context Protocol (MCP).
- Build and maintain governed analytics environments using Looker and LookML to guarantee data reliability and consistency.
- Establish standardized, observable, and multi-tenant architectures to support dependable managed services.
- Lead technical implementations, conduct solution reviews, mentor team members, and ensure timely, high-quality delivery.
- Collaborate effectively with client stakeholders and technical leaders to gather requirements and maintain strong professional relationships.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 6 years’ experience leading data engineering, data architecture, and AI solution development projects.
- Commercial experience with Google Cloud Platform, especially BigQuery and Google Cloud Storage.
- Strong expertise in data modeling, schema design, data warehousing, lakehousing, and role-based access control (RBAC).
- Relevant GCP certification(s) demonstrating proficiency in cloud technologies.
- Hands-on commercial experience with Gemini Enterprise and Generative AI technologies, including AI agents, conversational analytics, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and grounding techniques.
- Knowledge of the Model Context Protocol (MCP) and practical experience with agent-based integrations.
- Proficiency in Looker, dashboard development, semantic modeling, and LookML.
- Advanced skills in SQL and Python for data engineering and analytics development.
- Proven ability to lead technical teams, solve complex problems independently, and manage project delivery.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, capable of engaging confidently with client heads and technical leads.
