Senior Java FullStack Software Engineer - Java, ReactJS, Microservices

We are seeking a skilled Full Stack Java Developer to support the migration of front-end screens of the Portware trading platform from Java Swing, alongside backend Java enhancements. In this role, you will collaborate closely with the client’s development team to ensure a smooth transition and deliver an improved user experience tailored for institutional buy-side clients. This position is based onsite at our Hyderabad office.

Key Responsibilities

- Dedicate approximately 70% of your time to Java backend development and 30% to front-end development.
- Implement changes to the Java backend to facilitate front-end migration and introduce new capabilities.
- Assist in migrating user interface components from Java Swing, ensuring backend consistency, functionality, and performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.
- Engage directly with financial services clients to understand needs, provide progress updates, and incorporate feedback.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code adhering to best practices and coding standards.
- Conduct thorough testing and debugging of migrated components to meet functional and performance standards.
- Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, optimizing the application for speed and responsiveness.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation, including migration plans, technical specifications, and user guides.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in backend Java development combined with front-end development using either React or Angular.
- Proficiency in backend Java and front-end technologies such as React or Angular with TypeScript.
- Experience working with RESTful APIs.
- Demonstrated experience in migrating applications from Java Swing or similar legacy technologies to modern JavaScript frameworks is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of the financial services industry.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address complex technical challenges.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of interacting effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and contribute positively to the work environment.

Preferred Qualifications

- Relevant certifications in Java, React, or Angular front-end development.
