The NUST School of Health Sciences, Department of Nursing, is seeking qualified candidates for a faculty position. Applicants should be between 24 and 45 years of age and possess 2-3 years of clinical or teaching experience. The role involves contributing to academic excellence through teaching, supervision, and curriculum development within the nursing and health sciences disciplines.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed course plans, lesson plans, teaching materials, and assessments to support student learning.
- Deliver lectures, tutorials, demonstrations, and other academic sessions effectively.
- Facilitate student learning through classroom instruction, simulation exercises, and skills-lab activities.
- Supervise students during clinical rotations and assess their clinical competencies to ensure practical proficiency.
- Participate actively in examination processes including paper setting, marking, and compiling results.
- Assist in curriculum review and development of academic resources to maintain educational standards.
- Support accreditation and quality assurance activities to uphold institutional compliance.
- Maintain accurate academic and clinical records for students.
- Perform any additional duties as assigned by the Head of Department or Dean.

Required Qualifications
- For Nursing Faculty: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), Post RN, or Bachelor of Science in Midwifery (BSM) equivalent to NQF Level 6.
- For Basic Sciences Faculty: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant health sciences discipline.
- For General Education Faculty: Bachelor’s degree in the relevant subject area.
- At least one publication as the first author in an HEC-recognized journal.
- A minimum of 2-3 years of clinical or teaching experience in the relevant field.

Preferred Qualifications
- A Master’s degree such as MSN, MSPH, MHCM, MHPE, or a Master’s in a relevant subject (NQF Level 7) is desirable and will be considered an advantage.

Candidates must submit scanned copies of all academic and professional documents. The highest educational certificate or degree must be attested or verified by the Higher Education Commission (HEC). Applications will be disqualified if the candidate has a third division in their academic record, a weak academic profile, or is currently pursuing a required degree. NUST employees with less than one year of service or without a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their Head of Institution are not eligible. Candidates serving in government departments or armed forces must apply through their respective parent organizations.
