Zenit Corp specializes in building custom, personalized products at scale by automating parts of the design production process. We are seeking a hands-on ML/AI engineer to lead the development of a system that automates design generation using structured order information, including personalization details such as names and other variable data. This role involves designing and training models that leverage our existing library of pre-built SVG templates to minimize manual design work per order. The successful candidate will own the entire process from data preparation and model training or fine-tuning to integration within our production environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Audit and organize the existing SVG design library into a structured, usable training dataset, including layout, text placement, personalization slots, and styling rules.
- Evaluate and choose the most suitable modeling approach, whether fine-tuning a large language model (LLM) or multimodal model, training a layout or generative model, or implementing a hybrid pipeline combining structured generation with template population.
- Train and refine a model that converts structured input data into valid, on-brand SVG output.
- Define clear evaluation criteria to measure design quality, personalization accuracy, and brand consistency.
- Develop the integration layer between order intake systems and the model, incorporating fallback and review mechanisms for low-confidence outputs.
- Collaborate closely with product and design teams to encode brand and style constraints into the automated system.
- Establish monitoring and feedback loops to continuously improve model performance based on corrections and user input.
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in training or fine-tuning ML/LLM models for structured or generative outputs, beyond simply using off-the-shelf APIs.
- Proficiency working with SVG, vector graphics, or other structured design formats.
- Strong programming skills in Python and familiarity with common ML/LLM frameworks such as PyTorch or Hugging Face.
- Experience designing and implementing data pipelines that transform unstructured or semi-structured data into clean training datasets.
- Ability to work effectively in environments with ambiguous and evolving requirements, iterating quickly to deliver results.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with generative design, procedural graphics, or personalization engines, particularly in e-commerce or print-on-demand contexts, is a strong plus.
