Senior Manager – Supply Chain & Operations

We are looking for a seasoned and results-oriented Senior Manager – Supply Chain & Operations to oversee and enhance the entire supply chain and operational processes. This role involves crafting and executing supply chain strategies that align with business goals, driving operational excellence, optimizing costs and inventory levels, improving supplier performance, and ensuring timely availability of products and materials. The successful candidate will bring strong leadership, analytical, commercial, negotiation, and process improvement skills, with a proven track record in managing complex supply chain and operations functions.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement a comprehensive end-to-end supply chain strategy that supports overall business objectives. Lead critical functions including demand planning, supply planning, inventory management, procurement, warehousing, logistics, and distribution to ensure seamless operations. Establish efficient planning processes that guarantee optimal availability of materials and products.

Analyze demand patterns, inventory trends, lead times, and business requirements to enhance supply continuity and reliability. Formulate contingency plans to address potential supply chain disruptions and operational risks effectively. Spearhead strategic sourcing, procurement planning, and supplier development initiatives to strengthen the supply base.

Identify and evaluate suppliers based on quality, cost, capacity, service, and delivery performance. Lead commercial negotiations to secure competitive pricing, favorable payment terms, and improved service levels. Set and monitor supplier performance KPIs, implementing corrective actions when necessary.

Build and maintain long-term strategic relationships with key suppliers and business partners. Develop and execute inventory optimization strategies to maintain appropriate stock levels while minimizing excess, obsolete, and slow-moving inventory. Oversee inbound and outbound logistics to ensure timely and cost-effective movement of goods.

Optimize transportation routes, freight costs, delivery schedules, and logistics partnerships. Monitor delivery performance and resolve any operational bottlenecks to maintain high service levels and timely order fulfillment. Foster strong relationships with logistics and distribution partners.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives across supply chain and operational processes by identifying gaps, inefficiencies, and cost leakages, and implementing corrective measures. Lead, coach, and develop teams across supply chain, procurement, warehousing, logistics, and operations. Set clear objectives and KPIs for all direct and indirect reports, cultivating a high-performance culture focused on accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Provide strategic insights and recommendations to senior management to support informed decision-making.

Required Qualifications

Proven experience in managing complex supply chain and operations environments with strong leadership capabilities. Demonstrated skills in demand and supply planning, procurement, inventory management, logistics, and distribution. Strong analytical, commercial, negotiation, and process improvement abilities. Experience in supplier evaluation, strategic sourcing, and contract negotiations. Ability to lead and develop high-performing teams.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits

The position offers a full-time opportunity with a competitive monthly salary range of Rs80,000 to Rs120,000. The role requires working on-site to effectively manage and collaborate with cross-functional teams and partners.
