- Maintain the general ledger’s integrity, including journal entries, accruals, provisions, fixed assets, intercompany transactions, and other adjustments.
- Review and resolve balance sheet reconciliations promptly.
- Oversee accounts payable, receivable, invoicing, collections, vendor payments, and expense accounting processes.
- Ensure proper revenue recognition and expense recording aligned with applicable accounting standards.
- Manage taxation and statutory compliance, including income tax, sales tax filings, payments, and coordination with external tax advisors.

- Establish and maintain accounting policies, SOPs, approval matrices, and documentation standards.
- Collaborate with CEO/CFO and FP&A to ensure financial performance is accurately reflected in budgets, forecasts, and management reports.
- Provide financial data and documentation for investor reporting, fundraising, due diligence, and data-room requirements.
- Monitor working capital, bank accounts, payment channels, and cash balances, highlighting risks or opportunities to leadership.
- Identify errors, control gaps, unusual transactions, or cost leakages and recommend process improvements.
- Support preparation of management accounts, board reports, and financial analysis as needed.
- Drive improvements in accounting systems through technology, automation, and AI to reduce manual work and enhance accuracy.
- Build an audit-ready accounting environment and develop the accounting team with clear roles and standards as the business scales.
