Our client is a prominent and well-established diversified family business group based in the Middle East, with a rich history dating back to 1960. The company operates across five major sectors: Foods, Development, Mobility, Infrastructure, and Property Management. Recognized as one of the earliest contributors to the industrial and commercial landscape of the United Arab Emirates, the organization continues to expand its footprint and drive innovation. They are currently seeking a Senior Manager specializing in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning to join their team onsite at ISL.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the design, development, and deployment of AI and ML solutions that align with the company’s strategic objectives. Oversee end-to-end project management for AI/ML initiatives, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including data engineers, software developers, and business stakeholders to translate complex business problems into scalable AI models. Mentor and guide junior data scientists and engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation. Stay abreast of the latest trends and advancements in AI/ML technologies and evaluate their potential application within the organization. Develop and maintain documentation related to AI/ML models, processes, and best practices. Ensure compliance with data privacy and security policies throughout all AI/ML projects.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related technical field. Extensive experience (typically 8+ years) in AI and machine learning, with a proven track record of successfully delivering AI-driven projects in a corporate environment. Strong expertise in machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar platforms. Proficiency in programming languages including Python, R, or Java. Deep understanding of data structures, algorithms, and statistical modeling. Experience working with large datasets and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud). Excellent leadership skills with experience managing technical teams and driving cross-departmental collaboration. Strong problem-solving abilities and effective communication skills to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
Advanced degrees such as a PhD in AI, Machine Learning, or related disciplines are highly desirable. Experience in sectors relevant to the client’s business domains (e.g., food technology, infrastructure, mobility) will be an advantage. Familiarity with emerging AI trends such as reinforcement learning, natural language processing, and computer vision is a plus.
