Senior Manager IT

We are seeking a seasoned IT Manager to lead and oversee the IT operations within our organization. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the IT department aligns with the company’s strategic goals, manages resources effectively, and maintains a secure and efficient technology environment. This role requires a hands-on leader who can develop policies, manage staff, and drive continuous improvements in IT systems and processes.

Key Responsibilities

- Oversee and direct all IT operations to ensure the department meets organizational objectives.
- Develop and implement comprehensive IT policies and best practice guidelines tailored to the organization’s needs.
- Manage the IT team by recruiting, training, coaching, setting clear job expectations, and conducting performance appraisals.
- Identify opportunities to upgrade and improve software and systems, ensuring technology remains current and effective.
- Develop, manage, and monitor the IT department’s budget to optimize resource allocation.
- Ensure the security of IT infrastructure, maintaining compliance with relevant legal and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee troubleshooting processes, system backups, archiving, and disaster recovery planning.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with external IT vendors and service providers to support operational needs.
- Stay informed on emerging technology trends and advancements to keep the organization competitive.

Required Qualifications

- Proven experience in an IT Manager role or a similar senior-level position.
- Extensive knowledge of IT systems, networks, and a variety of software applications.
- Strong understanding of computer systems and emerging technologies.
- Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing IT strategies.
- Familiarity with data management, business process management, and IT Service Management (ITSM) frameworks.
- Ability to effectively manage personnel, prioritize tasks, and oversee budgetary responsibilities.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills to guide and motivate the IT team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to address complex IT challenges.
- Experience in project management and successful implementation of IT projects.

Preferred Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is required.
- A Master’s degree in IT Management or relevant certifications such as PMP or ITIL are preferred.
- A minimum of 6 to 10 years of experience in IT management, with a proven track record of leading large IT projects.
- Experience managing IT operations in medium to large organizations.
- Proficiency in handling various IT platforms and tools.
- Prior supervisory experience is an advantage.
