This role focuses on safeguarding logistics operations by monitoring cancellations, identifying vulnerabilities, and preventing rider fraud to ensure a secure and efficient delivery ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
As the owner of Rider Compliance, you will be responsible for developing and implementing frameworks to detect and prevent various types of fraud within the logistics operations. Your duties will include:
- Order Cancellation & Delivery Fraud Mitigation: Investigate and reduce fraudulent cancellation spikes to maintain operational integrity.
- Prevent Hijacking & Asset Loss: Create systems to track “Silent Pickups,” address redispatch loopholes, and prevent return fraud where cancelled goods are not returned to darkstores or vendors.
- Audit Exploitations: Monitor and penalize riders who exploit safety policies.
- Technical & Location Fraud Detection: Collaborate with technology teams to identify unauthorized or modified app usage, prevent account sharing, and detect location anomalies using spatial data tools.
- Account Misuse Prevention: Combat account sharing, multiapping, and automated shift selling that negatively impact fleet efficiency and customer experience.
- Financial Abuse & Asset Protection: Manage risks related to cash collection, including cash runaway and rider bad debt. Enforce limits and monitor aging balances for unremitted cash-on-delivery funds.
- Payout & Fee Manipulation: Audit and prevent manipulation of the rider payout structure to ensure fairness and compliance.
Required Qualifications
- 3 to 5 years of experience in fraud investigations, risk management, compliance, or logistics operations, preferably within the gig economy or last-mile delivery sector.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in SQL and Excel to query datasets and uncover hidden patterns.
- An investigative mindset with deep knowledge of fraud vectors such as GPS spoofing, app cloning, and social engineering.
- Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally with Customer Service, Vendor Management, and Product teams to close system loopholes and enforce operational SOPs.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of translating complex fraud schemes and technical anomalies into clear, actionable reports for senior management.
