Senior Manager, Rider Compliance

In this role, you will play a crucial part in safeguarding our logistics operations by monitoring cancellations, identifying vulnerabilities, and preventing rider fraud to maintain the integrity of our platform.

Key Responsibilities

As the owner of Rider Compliance, you will be responsible for developing frameworks, analyzing data, and enforcing strict Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to combat various types of fraud:

- Order Cancellation & Delivery Fraud Mitigation: Monitor and reduce fraudulent cancellation spikes by investigating suspicious patterns. Develop systems to prevent hijacking and asset loss, including tracking “Silent Pickups,” redispatch loopholes, and return fraud where cancelled goods are not returned to darkstores or vendors. Conduct audits to identify and penalize riders exploiting safety policies.

- Technical & Location Fraud Detection: Collaborate with technology teams to detect unauthorized or modified app usage and prevent account sharing, ensuring riders operate only under their verified profiles. Use spatial data and tools to identify location manipulation. Address account misuse issues such as multiapping, automated shift selling, and other practices that harm fleet efficiency and customer experience.

- Financial Abuse & Asset Protection: Manage cash collection risks by enforcing limits and tracking aging balances for unremitted cash-on-delivery (COD) funds. Audit and prevent manipulation of rider payout structures to protect company assets.

- Work cross-functionally with Customer Service, Vendor Management, and Product teams to close system loopholes and enforce operational SOPs.

- Translate complex fraud patterns and technical anomalies into clear, actionable reports for senior management.

Required Qualifications

- 3 to 5 years of experience in fraud investigations, risk management, compliance, or logistics operations, preferably within the gig economy or last-mile delivery sector.

- Strong technical and analytical skills, with proficiency in SQL and Excel to query datasets and uncover hidden patterns.

- An investigative mindset with deep familiarity with fraud vectors such as GPS spoofing, app cloning, and social engineering. Ability to connect data anomalies to human behavior.

- Proven ability to collaborate effectively across multiple teams to implement solutions and enforce compliance.

- Excellent communication skills, capable of simplifying complex fraud schemes for diverse audiences.
