Senior Mechanical Engineer

MEP Solutions Pvt. Ltd., a reputable contracting firm specializing in Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) works and affiliated with Izhar Construction Company Pvt Ltd, is seeking a dedicated Senior Mechanical Engineer for full-time, on-site engagement. The successful candidate will be based in Karachi and will play a critical role in managing and executing mechanical aspects of various construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

- Oversee and direct construction projects from initial planning through to completion, ensuring all deliverables are scheduled and costs accurately estimated.
- Coordinate and supervise construction workers and subcontractors to meet contractual performance standards.
- Manage mechanical system requirements, including heating, cooling, refrigeration, piping, and plumbing installations within buildings.
- Collaborate closely with architects, engineers, and other specialists to ensure project alignment and technical accuracy.
- Conduct regular site visits throughout the construction phases, including bid walks, preconstruction assessments, progress inspections, punch list reviews, and project closeouts.
- Perform and document quality assurance and safety inspections to maintain a safe work environment and verify that tools and equipment are functioning properly.
- Maintain and update Statements of Work (SOW) and preconstruction documentation, and foster strong relationships with reliable contractors and vendors to fulfill contract obligations.
- Respond promptly and effectively to any work delays, emergencies, or unforeseen project disruptions to minimize impact on timelines and quality.

Required Qualifications

- A minimum of 8 to 10 years of experience managing new construction and remodeling projects, demonstrating strong leadership and project management skills.
- Solid understanding of construction methods, technologies, and the ability to interpret technical drawings and contractual documents.
- Thorough knowledge of building code requirements and scheduling techniques to ensure compliance and timely delivery.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining a strong focus on quality and detail.
- Familiarity with construction site safety practices and the ability to enforce safety standards consistently.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits

- Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering is preferred.
- The position offers a competitive monthly salary ranging from Rs160,000 to Rs180,000.
- The role requires full-time, in-person presence at the project site located in Port Qasim, Karachi.
