Senior Mechanical Engineer

MEP Solutions Pvt. Ltd., a reputable contracting firm specializing in comprehensive Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) services, is seeking a dedicated full-time Senior Mechanical Engineer to join its team for projects based in Karachi. As a sister company of IZHAR Construction Company Pvt Ltd., MEP Solutions offers a dynamic work environment focused on delivering high-quality construction solutions. The Senior Engineer will play a critical role in overseeing mechanical aspects of construction projects from inception through to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and direct construction projects from conception to completion, including detailed project reviews to schedule deliverables and estimate costs.
- Coordinate and manage construction workers and subcontractors to meet contractual performance conditions.
- Supervise mechanical system requirements such as heating, cooling, refrigeration, piping, and plumbing installations within buildings.
- Collaborate closely with architects, engineers, and other specialists to ensure project specifications are met.
- Conduct regular site visits throughout all construction phases, including bid walks, preconstruction walks, progress inspections, punch walks, and project closeouts. Attend status and coordination meetings to maintain project alignment.
- Perform and document quality assurance and safety inspections to maintain a safe work environment and ensure tools and equipment are properly maintained.
- Maintain and update Statements of Work (SOW) and preconstruction documents, while fostering strong relationships with reliable contractors and vendors to fulfill contract obligations.
- Respond promptly and effectively to work delays, emergencies, or other project disruptions to minimize impact on schedules and quality.

Required Qualifications:
- 8 to 10 years of experience managing new construction and remodeling projects with a strong track record of successful project delivery.
- Proficient knowledge of construction methods, technologies, and the ability to interpret technical drawings and contracts accurately.
- Familiarity with building code requirements and scheduling methodologies to ensure compliance and efficient project timelines.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining a focus on quality and detail.
- Solid understanding of construction site safety practices and protocols.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering.

This position is based in Port Qasim, Karachi, requiring on-site presence to effectively manage project activities and coordination.
