Senior Migration Architect - AWS Cloud

We are looking for a Senior Migration Architect specializing in AWS Cloud to lead comprehensive cloud transformation projects. This role involves designing scalable AWS solutions and managing large-scale migration programs from start to finish. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in AWS architecture, governance, and cloud-native technologies. They will also engage directly with clients, lead architecture discussions, and mentor high-performing teams to ensure successful delivery.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the full cloud migration lifecycle, including assessment, planning, execution, and post-migration optimization to ensure seamless transitions.
- Design and implement AWS Landing Zones, multi-account environments, and governance frameworks that prioritize security and scalability.
- Act as the organization’s representative in client engagements, facilitating architecture workshops, executive-level discussions, and technical decision-making.
- Develop architecture artifacts such as high-level designs, migration blueprints, feature breakdown structures, and accurate estimations.
- Collaborate closely with business and engineering teams to translate complex requirements into scalable, cloud-native, and AI-enabled architectures.
- Lead and mentor teams of six or more members, ensuring project delivery meets timelines, quality standards, and budget constraints.
- Support business development efforts by contributing to RFP responses, solution proposals, and vendor evaluations, ensuring alignment with AWS best practices.

Required Qualifications

- 13 to 20 years of experience in software engineering with a strong focus on cloud technologies.
- Deep expertise in AWS Cloud architecture, including core services like EC2, S3, and VPC.
- Proficiency with ELB/ALB, IAM, RDS, Lambda, CloudFormation, and CloudWatch.
- Proven experience designing and implementing AWS Landing Zones, Control Tower, and multi-account governance using SCPs and IAM policies.
- Hands-on involvement in large-scale cloud migration programs utilizing AWS Migration Factory, AWS Server Migration Service (SMS), or Application Migration Service.
- Solid understanding of AWS networking and security architecture, including Transit Gateway, Network ACLs, Security Groups, and AWS Network Firewall.
- Skilled in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or CDK, along with scripting languages like Python or Bash.
- Knowledge of automation-first architecture, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices within AWS environments.
- Familiarity with cloud-native architectures, including microservices, containers, and serverless technologies such as EKS, ECS, and Lambda.

Preferred Qualifications

- Exposure to Generative AI (GenAI) concepts.
- Familiarity with AWS Bedrock or SageMaker platforms.
- Ability to integrate AI capabilities into cloud-native solutions, enhancing innovation and efficiency.
