We are looking for an experienced Senior Business Analyst to lead the definition of business requirements for a NetSuite ERP implementation at a U.S.-based industrial manufacturing company. The successful candidate will join the transformation project at its early stages and collaborate closely with the client’s leadership team to understand current business operations, design future-state processes, and translate business needs into clear, actionable requirements that guide the NetSuite implementation. This role demands a strong blend of business process modeling, requirements engineering, ERP implementation experience, and stakeholder management. The Senior Business Analyst will serve as a critical link between business stakeholders, technical teams, and the third-party implementation partner to ensure the solution aligns with business goals and adheres to NetSuite best practices.
Key Responsibilities
Business Process Analysis and Modeling
- Analyze and document current-state business processes, workflows, and operational challenges.
- Develop future-state process models and identify opportunities for improvement and automation.
- Utilize BPMN, flowcharts, or other process-mapping techniques to capture business workflows.
- Recommend process enhancements that align with business objectives and standard ERP capabilities.
Requirements Gathering and Documentation
- Lead workshops, stakeholder interviews, and discovery sessions with business leaders and functional teams.
- Elicit, analyze, validate, and document business requirements, objectives, and functional needs.
- Prepare and maintain Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), functional specifications, process maps, and related documentation.
- Translate complex business challenges into clear, structured, and actionable requirements.
NetSuite ERP Implementation
- Support requirements definition and functional design activities for the NetSuite ERP implementation.
- Collaborate closely with the implementation partner to convert business requirements into functional and, when necessary, technical specifications.
- Conduct fit-gap analyses to identify discrepancies between business needs and standard NetSuite capabilities.
- Advocate for a configuration-over-customization approach, recommending standard NetSuite features wherever feasible.
- Ensure requirements stay aligned with business priorities, best practices, and project scope.
Cross-Functional Process Requirements
- Support requirements definition and process design across key business workflows, including:
- Lead-to-Quote: lead management, quoting, and sales processes
- Design-to-Build: product design, engineering handoffs, and manufacturing preparation
- Procure-to-Pay: purchasing, supplier management, and accounts payable
- Plan-to-Produce: production planning, inventory coordination, and manufacturing operations
- Order-to-Cash: sales orders, fulfillment, invoicing, and collections
Project Delivery and Stakeholder Coordination
- Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, technical teams, and the ERP implementation partner for all requirements-related activities.
- Apply both agile and waterfall methodologies within the client’s hybrid project framework.
- Support requirements traceability, scope clarification, change assessment, and stakeholder alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
- Contribute to data migration planning, user acceptance testing (UAT), and change management efforts as needed.
- Identify requirement gaps, risks, dependencies, and potential process or delivery issues early to mitigate impact.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 8 years’ experience as a Business Analyst with a strong focus on business process modeling, requirements analysis, and technology implementations.
- Proven hands-on experience supporting or leading NetSuite ERP implementation projects.
- Expertise in preparing BRDs, functional requirements, process maps, and implementation documentation.
- Deep understanding of ERP business processes, especially procure-to-pay, order-to-cash, production planning, and manufacturing workflows.
- Proficiency in process modeling techniques such as BPMN and flowcharts.
- Practical experience with both agile and waterfall delivery methodologies and the ability to apply them effectively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with confidence engaging U.S. executives and senior stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, including evaluating business process changes against standard ERP capabilities.
- Skilled in workshop facilitation, stakeholder management, detailed documentation, and maintaining high attention to detail.
- Proactive, self-directed, and capable of working independently in a client-facing role.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in industrial manufacturing, supply chain, distribution, or field service environments.
- Prior experience collaborating with third-party ERP implementation partners.
- Exposure to ERP data migration, integration requirements, UAT, and business change management.
- Proven track record supporting ERP transformation initiatives from discovery and requirements definition through implementation and go-live.
