Senior Network Engineer

We are looking for a Senior Network Engineer to join a large enterprise organization with multiple global locations, focusing on extensive SD-WAN environments. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Cisco routing, switching, and wireless technologies, complemented by automation skills to improve network operations. This role requires hands-on involvement in network engineering tasks within a fast-paced and evolving environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan, manage, implement, and document network projects to ensure efficient and reliable operations.
- Collaborate closely with engineers and developers across teams to address changing technical requirements.
- Adapt quickly to a dynamic team setting, managing shifting priorities and competing demands effectively.
- Use network and security monitoring tools to audit infrastructure, identify issues, and coordinate timely remediation efforts.
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of Layer 2 and Layer 3 technologies, including BGP, VLANs, Trunking, and IPSec.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive network and security configuration procedures and documentation to support ongoing deployments.
- Provide high-level overviews to the team to assist in workload planning and prioritization.
- Maintain accurate inventory records for circuit installations, disconnections, network support contracts, and internal hardware assets.
- Monitor circuit and application performance to ensure optimal network functionality and reliability.
- Stay current with network and security developments, collaborating with the team to propose and implement improvements.
- Gain and maintain thorough knowledge of all systems and applications relevant to job functions to perform effectively.

Required Qualifications

- 7 to 10+ years of experience working with Cisco routers and switches in a large enterprise environment.
- Cisco certifications such as CCNA and/or CCNP are essential.
- Strong expertise in SD-WAN technologies and network automation tools.
- Excellent decision-making skills combined with a strong customer service orientation.
- Ability to produce clear, detailed, and well-organized documentation of processes and procedures.
