The Day Engineer for UTY/PP plays a critical role in supporting the General Manager of Operations and the Manager of UTY/CCPP Operations in both routine and emergency plant operations. This position ensures the safe, economical, and trouble-free functioning of the UTY/CCPP plant while promoting adherence to company policies related to Health, Safety, Environment, Occupational Health & Industrial Hygiene (OHIH), Quality, Ethics, and Training. The Day Engineer also assists the Unit Manager in achieving key performance targets such as safety, environmental compliance, production efficiency, conversion ratios, and cost control. Additionally, this role involves personnel management and the development of team members within the unit.

Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the safe and efficient operation of UTY/CCPP plants, supervising Operations Engineers and Assistant Engineers.
- Support the Manager in developing both short- and long-term operational plans, including coaching and training subordinates to enhance their skills and performance.
- Act as Quality Coordinator for the assigned area, assisting in the development and implementation of quality management activities as directed by the General Manager of Operations or Quality Management Representative. This includes enforcing Quality Plans, document control, process and quality inspections, equipment calibration, audits, and managing preventive and corrective actions through root cause analysis.
- Ensure compliance with Process Safety Management (PSM), Environmental, Quality, Budget Control, and Business Ethics policies by conducting audits and guiding operational personnel.
- Provide technical support to shift staff for smooth, safe, and efficient plant operations while maintaining product quality within defined specifications. Offer guidance during emergencies and assist in corrective measures.
- Coordinate with support functions to ensure the provision of necessary services for efficient and economical plant operation, including organizing shutdowns and daily planning meetings to achieve operational goals.
- Initiate and manage capacity and efficiency enhancement projects in collaboration with the Technical Department to maximize profitability and reduce costs.
- Optimize manpower allocation and material consumption by reviewing operating practices and managing expense reports to minimize operating costs.
- Motivate employees by setting challenging goals and developing personnel development plans to build a high-caliber, productive workforce.
- Fulfill emergency response duties according to role statements during level-1 and level-2 emergencies, ensuring the safety of the plant, personnel, and surrounding community.
- Oversee the implementation, review, updating, approval, and distribution of operating procedures and manuals in line with PSM guidelines.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Chemical Engineering.
- 6 to 10 years of relevant experience in Utility/Power Plant (UTY/PP) operations.
