The role involves managing and supervising the Planning & Dispatch Department to ensure seamless production planning, material management, inventory control, warehouse operations, dispatch coordination, and wastage control. The objective is to support uninterrupted production, optimize resource utilization, and meet customer delivery commitments in alignment with organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and oversee the Planning & Dispatch Department to ensure efficient production planning, warehouse management, dispatch activities, and wastage control. Develop and maintain the Master Production Schedule (MPS), Material Requirement Planning (MRP), and daily, weekly, and monthly production plans to maximize resource utilization and ensure timely deliveries.

Coordinate production schedules by considering machine capacity, material availability, production priorities, and customer demands. Monitor production progress against plans, adjusting schedules as needed due to operational changes, machine breakdowns, urgent orders, or material shortages.

Collaborate closely with Sales, Production, Procurement, Quality, and other departments to align production priorities, ensure material availability, and fulfill customer delivery commitments. Oversee inventory management for raw materials and finished goods, including monitoring inventory aging, slow-moving stock, and dead stock, implementing control measures to optimize inventory levels and maintain production continuity.

Supervise warehouse, dispatch, and wastage operations to ensure inventory accuracy, stock reconciliation, timely material movement, efficient dispatch planning, proper scrap management, and adherence to company procedures. Prepare and analyze various departmental reports such as production planning, inventory status, dispatch performance, and wastage to support informed decision-making.

Provide training, guidance, and development opportunities to departmental staff to enhance operational efficiency, teamwork, and compliance with company policies and best practices. Ensure the implementation of departmental Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), operational controls, and continuous improvement initiatives within Planning & Dispatch functions.

Identify operational risks, recommend process improvements, and implement corrective actions to enhance planning accuracy, inventory control, warehouse efficiency, dispatch performance, and customer service levels. Perform additional Planning & Dispatch related tasks as assigned by the Manager Supply Chain.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in Production Planning, Supply Chain, and Logistics within a manufacturing environment is essential.

At least 2 years of experience in a supervisory or leadership capacity is required. Strong knowledge of Production Planning, Master Production Scheduling (MPS), Material Requirement Planning (MRP), and Capacity Planning is necessary.

A solid understanding of inventory management, warehouse operations, dispatch planning, and logistics coordination is expected. Proficiency with ERP systems, preferably SAP, along with advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications, is important.

Excellent analytical, planning, and reporting abilities are required to succeed in this role.

Preferred Qualifications and Work Location

Experience in the flexible packaging industry will be considered an advantage. The position requires working on-site at the company’s facility.
