Senior Polymer Engineer

NKF Industries is seeking a seasoned Senior Polymer Engineer with over 10 years of experience to join our team at our on-site facility located on Mominpura Road, Lahore. This role focuses on leading and enhancing our technical and production operations within the Masterbatch and Calpet manufacturing sectors. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of polymers, not just from a theoretical standpoint but with practical expertise that drives improved formulations, consistent product quality, efficient production processes, and effective problem-solving solutions.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the formulation and development of Masterbatch and Calpet products, ensuring high-quality standards and consistency.
- Oversee and optimize extrusion, compounding, and polymer processing operations to maximize efficiency and reduce waste.
- Troubleshoot complex production and processing challenges, implementing practical solutions to maintain smooth operations.
- Coordinate and lead cross-functional teams including Production, Quality Control, and Technical departments to meet production goals.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on process optimization, cost reduction, and product innovation.
- Conduct research and development activities to support new product development and enhance existing formulations.
- Ensure strict adherence to quality control protocols, testing procedures, and product consistency standards.

Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience in polymer or plastics manufacturing, specifically in Masterbatch and Calpet industries.
- Extensive knowledge of polymer formulations, including pigments, additives, and fillers.
- Proven expertise in Masterbatch formulation and precise color matching techniques.
- Strong understanding of Calpet formulation processes and manufacturing requirements.
- Demonstrated skills in extrusion, compounding, and overall polymer processing technologies.
- Ability to analyze and resolve complex production and processing issues effectively.
- Experience in process optimization with a focus on waste reduction and cost efficiency.
- Solid background in quality control, testing methodologies, and maintaining product consistency.
- Experience in research and development, contributing to new product innovation and technical advancements.
- Strong leadership capabilities with experience managing and coordinating technical, production, and quality teams.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical thinking, and communication skills.
