Our client is a reputable fire protection services company specializing in the installation, inspection, and maintenance of fire suppression and alarm systems for both commercial and residential properties. The organization utilizes QuickBooks for financial management and Inspect Point for field service and job management. These platforms generate extensive data sets that, when effectively integrated and visualized, provide critical insights into revenue streams, job performance, technician productivity, and overall operational efficiency. The role centers on forming a strategic business intelligence partnership, requiring a thorough understanding of the client’s business model, workflows, and key performance indicators (KPIs) before developing tailored analytical solutions. The successful candidate will serve as the primary data liaison, overseeing the entire reporting lifecycle and continuously refining dashboards to adapt to evolving business needs. This position demands strong technical skills, confident client communication, and a dedication to driving impactful business improvements. The role involves independent planning and execution with leadership support and is based on-site with shift hours from 6 PM to 3 AM Pakistan Time.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop a deep understanding of the client’s operations, revenue model, job lifecycle, and reporting needs.
- Lead structured discovery sessions with client leadership and operational teams to translate business questions into measurable KPIs.
- Maintain consistent, professional communication with client stakeholders to present insights, gather feedback, and manage expectations.
- Integrate and model data from QuickBooks (financial) and Inspect Point (job/field) within Power BI.
- Design scalable and clean data models that support cross-source analysis, ensuring reliable data refresh schedules, gateway configurations, and pipeline stability.
- Identify and document data quality issues, collaborating with client teams to resolve upstream problems.
- Create executive and operational Power BI dashboards covering revenue, job completion, technician performance, receivables aging, and other key metrics.
- Apply strong user experience and visual design principles to ensure dashboards are intuitive for non-technical users.
- Develop advanced DAX measures, calculated columns, and time-intelligence functions.
- Implement row-level security and appropriate access controls.
- Deliver iterative dashboard releases with structured client review cycles.
- Manage ongoing dashboard maintenance, enhancements, and troubleshooting.
- Proactively identify new reporting opportunities aligned with business growth and changes.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation including data dictionaries, model documentation, and report catalogs.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in Power BI development, including data modeling, DAX, and report design.
- Proven experience integrating Power BI with QuickBooks via connectors, exports, or APIs.
- Familiarity with field service or job management platforms such as Inspect Point, ServiceTitan, or Salesforce Field Service.
- Strong data modeling skills, including star and snowflake schemas, relationships, and calculated tables.
- Demonstrated client-facing experience with the ability to present dashboards to business leaders and manage feedback effectively.
- Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
- Ability to work independently by planning sprints, prioritizing tasks, and delivering results without daily supervision.
- Proficiency in Power Query (M language) for data transformation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Microsoft PL-300 certification (Power BI Data Analyst Associate).
- Experience with Azure data services such as Azure SQL, Azure Data Factory, and Data Lake.
- Background in financial reporting, including profit and loss, accounts receivable aging, and cash flow visualization.
- Familiarity with fire protection, field services, or trades industries.
- Experience working in BPO, managed services, or outsourced analytics delivery environments.
This is an on-site position requiring availability for the specified shift hours from 6 PM to 3 AM Pakistan Time. Candidates should be comfortable working during these hours and collaborating closely with client teams to deliver high-impact business intelligence solutions.
