Senior Process Engineer

INTECH Automation Intelligence is seeking a Senior Process Engineer to join a dynamic team focused on advancing process automation solutions across industries including Oil & Gas, Petrochemicals, Utilities, and Renewable Energy. This role involves contributing to innovative projects by applying expertise in integrated control systems, SCADA virtualization, wellhead automation, and telecommunications. The successful candidate will work on vendor-neutral, customized control, safety, and automation systems designed to optimize operations, enhance reliability, and improve performance outcomes in diverse industrial settings.

Key Responsibilities
- Design processes for projects involving pressure vessels, heat exchangers, storage tanks, separators, process skids, and chemical injection skids.
- Execute Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) and detailed design for both brownfield and greenfield projects.
- Develop critical documentation including Basis of Design, Process Design Criteria, Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), and Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).
- Prepare process datasheets for instruments such as flow instruments, control valves, and relief valves.
- Perform hydraulic calculations for pumps and compressors, line sizing, and blowdown calculations.
- Conduct studies on hydrate formation, control valve sizing, and PRV/PSV specifications.
- Participate in HAZOP, HAZID, PHA, SIL, and risk management studies, implementing recommendations as required.
- Manage vendor and subcontractor relationships, ensuring effective coordination across disciplines and resolving customer conflicts.
- Conduct technical bid evaluations, cost control, procurement management, and project management activities.
- Prepare technical reports, perform design reviews, and engage in dispersion analysis, surge analysis, and dynamic simulations.
- Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) standards and hazard classifications.
- Support proposal and tender preparation in collaboration with the business development team.
- Travel to customer sites within Pakistan and internationally as needed.

Required Qualifications
- Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering.
- 4 to 6 years of design experience in the Oil & Gas sector, with exposure to both brownfield and greenfield projects.
- Proficiency in designing process equipment such as pressure vessels, heat exchangers, storage tanks, and process skids.
- Knowledge of control valve, PRV/PSV sizing, and hydraulic calculations for pumps and compressors.
- Strong understanding of thermodynamics, fluid flow, and heat transfer principles.
- Experience with tendering, bidding, and proposal preparation is advantageous.
- Excellent vendor management, inter-discipline coordination, and customer conflict resolution skills.
- Familiarity with modeling and simulation tools such as ASPEN HYSYS, ASPEN EDR (Shell & Tube / Air cooler), ASPEN PLUS, FLARENET, FLARESIM, PIPESIM, and PIPENET is highly desirable.
