Senior Production Manager - MDF Manufacturing - TJ / 1895036

Our client, Al Noor Lasani - MDF Board Division, is seeking a Senior Production Manager to lead its MDF manufacturing operations based in Naushahro Feroze. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor of Engineering in Chemical Engineering and a minimum of 12 years of extensive experience in board manufacturing and related production processes. This role requires a results-oriented professional capable of managing daily production activities efficiently while ensuring adherence to quality standards and meeting production targets consistently. The Senior Production Manager will oversee a team of 30 personnel and work closely with maintenance and other departments to maintain smooth and uninterrupted plant operations. A strong focus on optimizing workflows, minimizing waste, and enforcing safety protocols is essential to foster a secure and productive work environment. Additionally, the role involves driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance process efficiency, reduce costs, and implement lean manufacturing principles.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan, organize, and supervise daily production operations to achieve quality, quantity, and on-time delivery goals.
- Implement lean manufacturing techniques to streamline processes and boost operational efficiency.
- Monitor production costs by optimizing resource use and minimizing waste throughout the manufacturing cycle.
- Ensure strict compliance with safety standards to maintain a safe workplace for all employees.
- Coordinate with the maintenance department to support uninterrupted production and timely resolution of equipment issues.
- Analyze production data and performance metrics to identify improvement opportunities and apply best practices.
- Oversee quality control procedures to ensure finished products meet company standards.
- Utilize Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems for tracking production schedules, inventory, and reporting.
- Develop and maintain production plans and schedules to optimize capacity and respond to demand changes.
- Train, mentor, and develop production staff to enhance their skills and encourage professional growth.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as procurement, logistics, and engineering to ensure efficient workflows.
- Manage and implement cost control initiatives to improve profitability without compromising product quality.
- Lead continuous improvement projects focused on reducing waste and enhancing process reliability and consistency.
- Prepare and present production reports highlighting key performance indicators, operational challenges, and progress on improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor of Engineering degree in Chemical Engineering.
- At least 12 years of hands-on experience in board manufacturing or related production environments.
- Proven expertise in managing large production teams and complex manufacturing operations.
- Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Proficiency in using ERP systems for production planning and control.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain high safety and quality standards in a manufacturing setting.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to effectively manage teams and collaborate across departments.
