Senior Project Engineer/Manager

Pak German Engineers (PGE), a well-established company specializing in Traffic Management Systems, Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS), Road Safety Infrastructure, Electrical Automation, and Smart Infrastructure Solutions, is seeking an experienced Site Engineer / Project Manager for civil and electrical infrastructure projects. Based in Islamabad, this full-time, on-site role requires a hands-on professional to oversee and manage infrastructure projects, ensuring timely completion and adherence to quality standards. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in civil construction, electrical infrastructure, site execution, and project coordination, with the ability to independently supervise contractors and manage multiple site activities.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan, supervise, and manage daily site activities across various project locations, coordinating civil, electrical, and equipment installation teams to ensure smooth execution.
- Prepare work schedules, assign responsibilities, and monitor progress against deadlines while managing subcontractors, technicians, labor teams, and material requirements.
- Oversee civil construction tasks such as excavation, road cutting, trenching, horizontal boring, underground duct installation, RCC and pole foundations, concrete works, backfilling, and road reinstatement, ensuring compliance with approved drawings and quality standards.
- Supervise electrical installations including underground cable laying, wiring, earthing, power connections, and the installation of traffic signals, poles, and associated equipment.
- Assist technical teams during equipment testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning, ensuring proper coordination between civil and electrical activities.
- Review engineering drawings, BOQs, technical specifications, and project requirements; monitor timelines, resource use, and material consumption.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, government departments, and other stakeholders through regular site inspections and progress reporting.
- Identify potential delays and implement corrective measures to maintain project schedules.
- Prepare daily and weekly progress reports, maintain records of work completed, site measurements, material consumption, and subcontractor activities.
- Support documentation processes including running bills, measurement sheets, and project handover, while ensuring compliance with workplace safety and quality standards.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree (BE/BSc) in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a closely related engineering discipline from an HEC-recognized university is mandatory.
- PEC registration is preferred but not mandatory.
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in site engineering, construction supervision, or infrastructure project execution.
- Proven experience managing multiple sites, contractors, and technical teams.
- Strong understanding of civil construction methods, electrical infrastructure, and site execution.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, BOQs, and technical specifications.
- Proficiency in MS Office; familiarity with AutoCAD and project scheduling tools is an advantage.
- Practical knowledge of project measurements, cost control, and contractor billing.
- Excellent leadership, problem-solving, communication, and coordination skills.
- Ability to work under deadlines and remain actively involved in on-site execution.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits

- Candidates with 5 to 7 years of experience, including independent project management responsibilities, will be preferred.
- Experience with civil works, underground utilities, road infrastructure, electrical installations, and government infrastructure projects is highly desirable.
