Senior Project Manager - Infrastructure

The Project Manager – Infrastructure will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and successful delivery of infrastructure projects. This role ensures projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and meet established quality and safety standards. The Project Manager will coordinate schedules, manage resources and subcontractors, and maintain clear communication with all stakeholders. Regular site visits and progress reporting are essential to monitor ongoing activities. Additionally, the role involves preparing project documentation, resolving operational challenges, and ensuring compliance with local regulations, company policies, and environmental and safety requirements. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Islamabad, requiring close collaboration with engineering, procurement, and site teams to optimize workflows and manage risks throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan and manage the full execution of assigned construction and infrastructure projects from mobilization to completion and handover.
- Review project scope, contract documents, BOQs, drawings, specifications, schedules, and technical requirements to ensure alignment.
- Develop and implement comprehensive project execution plans, work programs, construction methodologies, and resource allocation strategies.
- Ensure all construction activities adhere to approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and project schedules.
- Coordinate site activities to optimize the use of manpower, machinery, materials, and other resources.
- Maintain effective communication and coordination with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
- Participate in progress, technical, coordination meetings, and site inspections to monitor project status.
- Monitor project costs against approved budgets and contract values to control expenditures.
- Oversee subcontractor and supplier performance, ensuring work is completed according to agreed scope, quality standards, timelines, and rates.
- Support the preparation and verification of interim payment applications, variation claims, and final accounts.
- Supervise and coordinate construction activities including civil, structural, infrastructure, roads, earthworks, concrete works, drainage, utilities, and other project-specific tasks.
- Ensure the availability of required manpower, construction equipment, materials, and other necessary resources.
- Collaborate with the QA/QC team for inspections, testing, approvals, and quality documentation.
- Maintain accurate project records, including correspondence, drawings, approvals, inspection reports, site instructions, variation records, and progress documentation.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, preferably with contractors executing infrastructure and construction projects.
- Proven track record managing medium to large-scale construction or infrastructure projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, project planning, BOQs, quantity measurement, contracts, and project controls.
- Proficiency in MS Project or Primavera P6, AutoCAD, MS Excel, and other project management tools.
- Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
