Huawei is seeking a highly skilled Senior PS Core Planning Engineer to join their team in Islamabad. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in packet-switched (PS) core network planning, capacity analysis, network design, optimization, and project support integration. This role demands a strong technical background and the ability to manage complex network elements while ensuring efficient and reliable service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor network utilization, analyze growth trends, perform traffic forecasting, and conduct capacity analysis across PS core network elements.
- Develop and interpret end-to-end High-Level Design (HLD) and Low-Level Design (LLD) for PS core products including SGSN, MME, SGW/PGW, and PCRF/UPF.
- Recommend and implement network optimization initiatives to enhance network efficiency and service quality.
- Manage capital expenditure (CapEx) planning, budget forecasting, Bill of Materials (BOM) preparation, Request for Proposals (RFPs), and technical tender evaluations.
- Coordinate with telecom vendors, contractors, and internal teams to assess and select technical solutions.
- Support project integration activities such as commissioning, implementation, acceptance of new nodes, and ensuring network safety compliance.
- Analyze daily and weekly health check reports, monitor degraded KPIs, and manage alarms within defined SLA limits.
- Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA), lead Major Incident Reviews (MIR), update Known Error Database (KEDB) documentation, and contribute to team capability enhancement.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
- 3 to 5 years of professional experience in core network engineering, with a focus on the PS domain.
- Solid understanding of communication fundamentals and data communication principles.
- Knowledge of EPC (Evolved Packet Core), 5GC (5G Core), UPCC, NFV architecture, and telecom cloud solutions.
- Strong technical problem-solving skills and ability to analyze customer requirements effectively.
- Excellent communication skills to engage with technical customers, present technical solutions, and report on project progress.
- Ability to respond promptly and make accurate decisions during critical situations or network crises.
