Located on-site in Garden Town, Lahore, this full-time position at 10xEngineers offers an exciting opportunity to join a team developing a cutting-edge biomedical wearable product. The device is paired with native iOS and Android apps that are continuously evolving. As a Senior QA Engineer, you will take full ownership of the quality assurance process for these mobile applications, ensuring they meet the highest standards expected in consumer health technology.

Key Responsibilities

You will be responsible for owning the quality of the native iOS and Android apps by determining what and how to test, focusing on areas most prone to failure rather than relying solely on predefined test cases. Your role includes designing and executing functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing, with particular attention to edge cases and failure scenarios. You will test Bluetooth (BLE) connectivity end-to-end, covering pairing, data capture, background operation, reconnection after dropped connections, and app behavior during failures.

Validating the entire data pipeline—from device to app to cloud and back—is critical. You will ensure computed results display correctly and that no health data is lost or corrupted during syncing, retries, or in poor connectivity conditions. Stress-testing mobile-specific behaviors across various devices and OS versions is also essential, including app lifecycle events, backgrounding, interruptions, permissions, and battery usage.

You will verify backend integration through API testing and analyze device logs, app logs, and crash reports to isolate root causes before escalating issues to engineering teams. Building and expanding automated regression test coverage for critical workflows, integrated into the release pipeline, will be part of your responsibilities. You will also own release testing prior to App Store and Play Store submissions and monitor quality post-launch.

Collaboration is key, as you will work closely with mobile, firmware/hardware, backend/cloud, and design teams. Writing clear, reproducible defect reports and tracking them through to resolution will be part of your daily tasks.

Required Qualifications

Candidates must have solid software QA experience, particularly in manual testing of native mobile applications. A strong testing mindset is essential, with the ability to independently determine what to test and identify edge cases others might overlook. You should have a deep understanding of functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing, along with the ability to design effective test scenarios.

Experience testing mobile-specific behaviors such as app lifecycle management, connectivity, interruptions, permissions, and data synchronization is required. Proficiency in API testing, debugging, and log analysis is also necessary. Hands-on experience with mobile test automation tools like Appium, Espresso, XCUITest, or Maestro is expected.

A good grasp of Agile methodologies, SDLC/STLC processes, and defect management is important. The role demands the ability to work independently with minimal supervision and to investigate issues thoroughly to identify root causes. A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is required.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits

Additional experience in testing Bluetooth/BLE-connected applications, wearable or IoT devices, and health or medical device domains will be highly valued. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated regression testing frameworks is a plus. Experience using mobile device farms and crash-monitoring tools is beneficial, as is an awareness of health data privacy and security standards.

Joining 10xEngineers means working on a product that genuinely impacts people’s health, rather than a typical CRUD application. You will be part of a mature product with significant growth potential and have a real influence on how testing and automation evolve as the product scales. The team is small, senior, and highly autonomous, offering direct impact and short feedback loops. Additionally, you will be part of a global deep-tech company, contributing to innovative health technology solutions.

Work location is strictly in person at the Garden Town, Lahore office.
