Senior Quality Assurance Automation Engineer

Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks using tools such as Cypress, Playwright, Selenium, Appium, and programming languages including Java, TypeScript, JavaScript, or Python.
- Create reusable and scalable automation components and libraries to support various testing scenarios.
- Collaborate with QA teams and stakeholders to define test strategies, scope, and objectives aligned with project requirements.
- Participate in test planning meetings to ensure automation efforts meet project goals.
- Convert manual test cases into automated scripts and execute them to validate software functionality, performance, and security.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitHub Actions to enable continuous testing throughout the development lifecycle.
- Report defects clearly and provide detailed information to assist developers in issue resolution.
- Work closely with developers, product managers, and business stakeholders to maintain alignment on testing goals and deliverables.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in automation testing, with mandatory expertise in Playwright.
- Strong proficiency with automated testing tools and frameworks such as Cypress, Playwright, Selenium, Appium, TestNG, or JUnit.
- Skilled in programming languages commonly used for test automation, including Java, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
- Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar tools.
- Proficient in testing RESTful APIs with tools like Postman, SoapUI, or REST Assured.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure) and containerization/virtualization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Ability to write SQL queries and perform database testing.
- Experience with mobile testing frameworks for iOS and Android applications.
- Knowledge of Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) or Test-Driven Development (TDD) methodologies.
- Experience in cross-browser testing using platforms like BrowserStack or Sauce Labs.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective defect reporting and collaboration.
- Candidates must be willing to work US hours.

- Compensation for this role ranges from $1,200 to $1,500 per month initially, with final base pay determined by location and experience. This is part of a comprehensive package that may include incentives, bonuses, and PsychPlus-sponsored benefits.
