We are seeking a Senior Rust/WebAssembly Developer with extensive experience in building high-performance applications using Rust, WebAssembly (WASM), and modern web technologies. The ideal candidate will have Rust as their primary programming language and be skilled in developing frontend applications using Rust-based frameworks such as Yew. Additionally, experience with Node.js for backend development and API integration is essential. This role focuses on creating efficient, scalable, and secure software solutions where performance and reliability are critical.

Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain high-performance applications primarily using Rust. Build modern frontend applications leveraging Rust and WebAssembly (WASM). Develop frontend components and interfaces using frameworks such as Yew, Leptos, Dioxus, or similar Rust-based technologies. Create and integrate backend services and APIs using Node.js. Design efficient communication between frontend, backend, and WebAssembly modules. Build reusable, maintainable, and scalable Rust components while optimizing application performance, memory usage, and execution speed. Work with REST APIs, WebSockets, asynchronous systems, and third-party integrations. Write clean, secure, well-tested, and production-ready code. Debug complex application and performance issues across Rust, WebAssembly, frontend, and backend environments. Participate in technical architecture and system design decisions. Conduct code reviews and uphold high engineering standards. Collaborate closely with product, design, and engineering teams throughout the development lifecycle. Maintain technical documentation for architecture, APIs, and key application components.

Required Qualifications
Strong professional experience with Rust, including a deep understanding of ownership and borrowing, lifetimes, traits and generics, error handling, concurrency, async programming, and memory management. Hands-on experience with WebAssembly (WASM), including compiling and running Rust applications/modules in browser environments. Proficiency with Yew or another Rust-based frontend framework. Solid knowledge of modern frontend application architecture. Experience developing backend applications and APIs using Node.js. Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and client-server architecture. Familiarity with Git and modern software development workflows. Good grasp of application security, performance optimization, and scalable software architecture. Excellent debugging and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
Experience with wasm-bindgen, web-sys, or related Rust/WASM tooling. Familiarity with additional Rust frameworks such as Leptos, Dioxus, Axum, Actix Web, or Rocket. Knowledge of TypeScript and JavaScript. Experience working with databases like PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or Redis. Exposure to Docker and containerized deployments. Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP. Experience building real-time applications using WebSockets. Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines. Understanding of microservices and distributed system architecture. Contributions to Rust open-source projects are considered a plus.

We are particularly interested in candidates with commercial, production-level Rust experience rather than those with only personal or experimental projects. The role demands comfort working on complex applications where performance, reliability, security, and efficient resource utilization are paramount. While Node.js experience is necessary for backend development and integration, Rust expertise remains the primary focus for candidate evaluation.

Experience
Preferred candidates will have 4+ years of professional software development experience, with significant hands-on Rust development. Exceptional candidates with fewer years but strong expertise in Rust, WebAssembly, and Rust-based frontend development will also be considered.

Core Technology Stack
Primary Language: Rust
Frontend: Rust, WebAssembly (WASM), Yew or similar Rust frontend frameworks
Backend: Node.js
APIs: REST / WebSockets
Version Control: Git
Deployment: Docker / Cloud environments

What We Are Looking For Most
Advanced, production-level Rust skills. Strong hands-on experience with WebAssembly. Solid experience with Yew or similar Rust frontend frameworks. Good backend experience with Node.js. This is fundamentally a Rust-focused engineering role, so candidates primarily experienced in JavaScript/Node.js without substantial commercial Rust experience are not the right fit.
