Senior / Semi-Senior Accountant – UK Accountancy Practice

Alder & Finch, an ACCA-regulated UK accountancy practice, is seeking a Senior or Semi-Senior Accountant to join their dynamic team. The firm offers accounting, taxation, and business advisory services to a diverse range of clients across multiple industries, as well as managing its own businesses in various sectors. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare UK statutory accounts in accordance with FRS 105 and FRS 102 standards.
- Compile Corporation Tax computations and complete CT600 returns accurately.
- Prepare and submit UK VAT returns in a timely manner.
- Handle Self Assessment tax returns for clients.
- Perform bookkeeping, reconciliations, and prepare management accounts.
- Manage a portfolio of clients, ensuring all statutory deadlines are met.
- Collaborate closely with UK-based colleagues and clients to deliver high-quality service.
- Support accounting and financial reporting requirements across the firm’s wider business interests.

Required Qualifications
- Previous experience working in a UK accountancy practice is mandatory.
- Minimum of 2 to 3 years’ relevant experience within a UK accountancy environment.
- ACCA qualified, part-qualified, or finalist status.
- Strong understanding of UK accounting principles and taxation regulations.
- Proven hands-on experience preparing UK statutory accounts and tax returns.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, and similar platforms.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple deadlines, and handle several client accounts simultaneously.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
