Senior Software Developer (ERP & Custom Applications)

GoKarim, a rapidly growing travel and transport service provider specializing in flight and bus bookings, rent-a-car services, airport assistance, and tour packages, is seeking an experienced Senior Software Developer. This role focuses on designing and developing custom ERP and business applications that streamline and enhance operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will work closely with various teams to build robust software solutions that support bookings, vehicle and driver management, accounting, HR, and inventory, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.

Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop a custom ERP system tailored specifically to GoKarim’s business requirements.
- Build and maintain modules covering bookings, vehicle and driver management, accounts, invoicing, HR, and inventory control.
- Develop both web and mobile applications for internal staff and customers to improve user experience and operational workflows.
- Integrate payment gateways, banking tools, and third-party APIs to facilitate seamless transactions and data exchange.
- Design, implement, and manage secure and well-structured databases to support application functionality.
- Create management dashboards and reports covering sales, expenses, receivables, and payables for informed decision-making.
- Collaborate closely with operations, finance, and customer support teams to gather and understand detailed requirements.
- Conduct thorough testing and debugging to ensure software quality and reliability before deployment.
- Provide comprehensive documentation, handover, and post-deployment support to ensure smooth project transitions.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- 4 to 5 years of hands-on experience in software development, with a strong portfolio of ERP or custom business application projects (experience with Odoo, ERPNext, or custom-built solutions is preferred).
- Proficiency in backend development using Python, PHP (Laravel), Node.js, or .NET frameworks.
- Solid knowledge of relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL.
- Experience working with RESTful APIs and integrating third-party services.
- Frontend development skills using React, Vue, or similar JavaScript frameworks.
- Familiarity with version control systems like Git and deployment processes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a track record of meeting deadlines.
- Effective communication skills in both English and Urdu, enabling clear collaboration across teams.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- Experience in mobile app development using Flutter or React Native is a plus.
- Prior work with online payment gateway integrations is advantageous.
- Knowledge of the travel, ticketing, or car rental industries will be considered an asset.
