Senior Software Engineer - AI/ML

We are seeking a highly skilled AI/ML and Data Engineer who possesses strong technical expertise along with excellent communication skills. The ideal candidate will be adept at engaging with clients, understanding their complex requirements, and driving opportunities to successful closure. This role requires a combination of hands-on engineering capabilities and strong business acumen, enabling the candidate to architect effective solutions, confidently present them, and convert prospects into ongoing projects.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and deploy scalable AI/ML and data engineering solutions that meet client needs. Work hands-on with Python, SQL, machine learning models, data pipelines, APIs, databases, and cloud platforms. Develop solutions leveraging Generative AI, large language models (LLMs), retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), natural language processing (NLP), predictive analytics, and relevant AI/ML frameworks. Architect and implement data warehouses, data lakes, ETL/ELT pipelines, and data processing workflows.

Evaluate technical requirements and recommend optimal architectures, tools, and technologies. Engage directly with clients to understand their business and technical challenges. Lead technical discovery calls, presentations, solution discussions, demos, and proof-of-concepts (POCs). Prepare detailed technical proposals, solution architectures, project scopes, estimates, and statements of work (SOWs).

Collaborate closely with Sales and leadership teams to identify, develop, and close new project opportunities. Address technical objections by communicating complex solutions clearly and in a business-focused manner. Build and maintain strong client relationships, identifying opportunities for upselling and long-term engagements. Work alongside engineering and delivery teams to ensure smooth project handover and successful execution.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field. Four to eight years of relevant professional experience in AI/ML, data engineering, data science, or a related domain. Strong proficiency in Python and SQL is essential.

Hands-on experience with machine learning, deep learning, NLP, and generative AI technologies is required. Familiarity with LLMs, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), embeddings, vector databases, and AI agents is highly desirable. Solid knowledge of ETL/ELT processes, data pipelines, data modeling, databases, and data warehousing is necessary.

Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP) is expected. Proficiency in ML/AI frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Scikit-learn is important. Experience with APIs, microservices, version control (Git), CI/CD pipelines, and production deployment is required.

A strong understanding of system architecture, scalability, performance optimization, and data security is critical. The candidate must demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills, technical ownership, and the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Strong client-facing skills, including presentations, negotiations, and stakeholder management, are essential. The ability to translate technical solutions into clear business value and a commercially driven, proactive mindset are key to success in this role.
