Senior Software Engineer (C#, .NET Core, and RESTful API ,Microservices)

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer with strong expertise in .NET technologies to join our Mobile Banking and Integrations team based in DHA Phase 8, Lahore. The ideal candidate will be a technically proficient engineer skilled in designing, developing, and reviewing scalable microservices and integration components within a containerized environment. This role demands hands-on coding in critical systems, along with providing technical leadership and mentoring to junior team members.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the design, development, and delivery of backend services and APIs using the .NET technology stack.
- Conduct and enforce rigorous code reviews to maintain high standards of code quality, scalability, and maintainability.
- Translate business and functional requirements into robust and scalable technical designs.
- Collaborate closely with architecture, DevOps, and QA teams to define and implement efficient solutions.
- Manage containerization of services using Docker and support continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
- Design, implement, and optimize complex database structures in SQL Server and PostgreSQL environments.
- Contribute to system performance optimization, scalability enhancements, and overall reliability improvements.
- Mentor junior and mid-level developers, fostering knowledge sharing and technical growth within the team.
- Participate actively in technical design sessions, integration reviews, and release planning activities.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- 6 to 8 years of hands-on experience in software development.
- Strong expertise in C#, .NET Core, and RESTful API development.
- Advanced skills in MS SQL Server, including indexing, query optimization, and handling complex queries.
- Proficiency in Docker for container management, image creation, and orchestration.
- Exposure to PostgreSQL is highly desirable.
- Solid understanding of software architecture patterns such as layered, microservices, and event-driven architectures.
- Advanced capabilities in code review and refactoring practices.
- Intermediate knowledge of business analysis and solution design principles.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Experience working in Agile or hybrid delivery environments.
