This opportunity is for a Senior Software Engineer, Full-Stack, working remotely with 360factors, Inc., an Austin-based enterprise GRC software provider. The company specializes in risk, compliance, and regulatory change management solutions for regulated financial institutions worldwide. As part of a global team, you will contribute to the development and modernization of their Predict360 and Lumify360 platforms, which serve banks and financial services firms by ensuring audit trails and evidence integrity. This role involves leading the migration from a legacy Java 8 environment to a cutting-edge Java 21 and Angular 21 stack, integrating AI agents, and managing complex multi-tenant architectures to deliver seamless functionality for clients in regulated industries.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver end-to-end full-stack features, spanning modern Angular frontends, Java Spring Boot backend services, and SQL Server data layers.
- Reverse-engineer legacy codebases to reconstruct system architecture, document design intent, and ensure smooth migration without impacting core customer functionality.
- Lead the migration of a live, revenue-generating software estate from Java 8/Ant/Tomcat to a modern Java 21 and Angular 21 architecture.
- Build and operate AI agents to accelerate development cycles while maintaining accountability for code quality, security, and performance.
- Work with multi-tenant Azure SQL databases, BPMN workflow engines, vector search technologies, and in-browser Office collaboration tools as part of the enterprise stack.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 7 years of backend Java development experience with production ownership of Spring Boot 3.x applications.
- Proficiency in modern Angular (21 or later), TypeScript, and RxJS for frontend development.
- Expert-level SQL skills, particularly with SQL Server or Azure SQL, including multi-tenant database design, query optimization, and complex database migrations.
- Demonstrated ability to navigate and become productive in large, sparsely documented codebases using techniques such as "code archaeology" and AI-assisted tools.
- Experience working in regulated financial or enterprise environments is highly advantageous.
