We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced software engineer to design and deliver scalable, resilient, and maintainable applications using advanced software engineering principles. The successful candidate will leverage expertise in object-oriented design, domain-driven design, and distributed systems architecture to build cloud-native solutions on Microsoft Azure. This role involves developing high-quality, secure C# and .NET code, leading API and microservices development, and ensuring applications meet rigorous performance, security, and reliability standards. You will also mentor team members, guide CI/CD implementation, and ensure compliance with security and regulatory requirements, reporting directly to an Engineering Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Apply advanced software engineering principles to design and develop scalable, resilient applications.
- Design and implement cloud-native solutions using Microsoft Azure services such as App Services, Functions, Service Bus, Event Grid, and containerized workloads.
- Ensure applications meet functional and non-functional requirements including performance, scalability, security, and reliability through thorough testing, code reviews, and adherence to quality standards.
- Write high-quality, performant, and secure code in C# and .NET following architectural patterns and secure coding practices.
- Lead the design and development of RESTful APIs, microservices, and event-driven architectures with proper versioning and contract integrity.
- Develop and optimize relational and non-relational data models using SQL Server and other platforms to ensure data integrity and scalability.
- Drive CI/CD pipeline implementation using Azure DevOps or equivalent tools, including automated builds, testing, infrastructure as code, and deployment.
- Mentor engineers on architectural patterns, coding standards, testing strategies, and best practices to enhance team capability and code quality.
- Conduct comprehensive code reviews focusing on maintainability, performance, security, and architectural compliance.
- Ensure compliance with security standards, regulatory requirements, and internal governance when handling sensitive or regulated data.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in .NET development and software architecture.
- At least 2 years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services.
- Proficiency in C#, .NET Framework, and .NET Core.
- Strong experience with MS SQL Server, T-SQL, and relational database design.
- Familiarity with frontend technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Angular, and ReactJS.
- Experience with Azure Cloud Solutions (IaaS, SaaS, PaaS) including Azure Entra, App Services, Azure Functions, APIM, and Azure SQL.
- Solid background in API development and integrations.
- Experience with SSIS, ETL processes, and Azure Data Factory.
- Knowledge of common architectural patterns and cloud-native development.
- Expertise in Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with microservices architecture, Docker, and containerization.
- Proficiency with Entity Framework or other ORM tools.
- Hands-on experience with AI-driven development lifecycle (AI-DLC), including writing executable specs, maintaining agent context, and validating AI-generated code.
- Experience building generative AI features in .NET using Azure OpenAI or Azure AI Foundry, including prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and orchestration frameworks like Semantic Kernel.
- Skilled in using AI assistants for test generation, code review, refactoring, and documentation, with sound judgment on human verification needs.
- Familiarity with MCP servers and tool integrations enabling agents to interact with internal APIs, databases, and pipelines.
