Senior Software Engineer

We are looking for a talented and motivated Senior Software Engineer to join our software development team in Bangalore, WTC 4. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Python and PySpark and a passion for building innovative software solutions. This role demands a proactive professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and works collaboratively to design, develop, and implement high-quality software applications.

Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable software applications using Python and PySpark.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Implement data processing pipelines and ETL processes to support data analytics and reporting.
- Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure code quality and adherence to best practices.
- Debug and troubleshoot software issues, delivering timely resolutions to improve system performance.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously enhance software development processes.
- Participate actively in Agile development methodologies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Document software designs, processes, and technical specifications for future reference.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proficient in Python programming with a strong understanding of its libraries and frameworks.
- Extensive experience with PySpark for big data processing and analytics.
- Solid grasp of software development principles and methodologies.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently as well as collaboratively.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively engage with team members and stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits:
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of both SQL and NoSQL database systems.
- Understanding of data warehousing concepts and data modeling.
- Experience with version control systems, particularly Git.
- Relevant certifications in software development or data engineering are considered a plus.
