Senior Software Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Amazon Connect Engineer with a strong background in enterprise software engineering to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience building, debugging, and supporting production systems, with a focus on delivering high-performance and fault-tolerant solutions in complex environments. This role requires proficiency in modern backend programming languages, infrastructure automation, and AWS application design, including migrations and cost/performance optimization. The successful candidate will also be familiar with continuous integration and delivery processes, database management, and API development, while leveraging emerging AI technologies to enhance solution delivery.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop, debug, and maintain production-grade software systems with a focus on reliability and scalability.
- Design, implement, and optimize AWS applications, including cloud migrations and cost-performance tuning.
- Utilize Infrastructure as Code tools, primarily Terraform, to automate and manage cloud infrastructure.
- Build and maintain RESTful APIs to support various application components and integrations.
- Collaborate within Agile teams to ensure adherence to software development lifecycle (SDLC) best practices.
- Manage source control and CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, Git, and Bitbucket.
- Deliver fault-tolerant and high-performance solutions tailored to complex technical environments.
- Apply AI-driven tools and generative AI capabilities to accelerate development, automation, and troubleshooting processes.

Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in enterprise software engineering, particularly in building and supporting production systems.
- Strong proficiency in at least one modern backend programming language, preferably Python or Java.
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code, especially Terraform.
- Demonstrated expertise in designing and delivering AWS applications, including migrations and optimizing for cost and performance.
- Working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and source control systems such as Jenkins, Git, or Bitbucket.
- Solid experience with both SQL/RDBMS and NoSQL databases.
- Familiarity with software development lifecycle methodologies and Agile practices.
- Experience designing and building RESTful APIs.
- Proven track record of delivering high-performance, fault-tolerant solutions in complex environments.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- AWS Developer and/or Solutions Architect certification is highly desirable.
- Experience with Amazon Connect or contact center technologies, including telephony and WebRTC.
- Familiarity with React or similar frontend frameworks is a plus.
- Ability to leverage AI capabilities, including generative AI-assisted development, automation, and analysis tools, to enhance solution design and troubleshooting efficiency.
