Senior Software Engineer

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development and maintenance of a cloud-based postal automation platform. This role focuses on creating scalable backend services, APIs, event-driven processing pipelines, and a web portal that supports operations and customer service teams in managing mailing data from initial upload through to final postal output. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in C#/.NET, practical experience with AWS, and proficiency in modern frontend frameworks and TypeScript. You will be responsible for designing reliable, secure systems that translate complex business requirements into configurable, well-tested solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain backend APIs and services using C#/.NET and AWS technologies.
- Build and manage reliable event-driven job processing pipelines with features such as status tracking, retries, and error handling.
- Develop user-friendly web portals that include data-entry workflows, file uploads/downloads, and real-time job status updates.
- Implement configurable business rules and robust file-processing workflows to support operational needs.
- Design and maintain PostgreSQL databases using Entity Framework Core, ensuring efficient schema design and data integrity.
- Implement secure authentication, authorization, and role-based access control mechanisms.
- Write automated unit, integration, and end-to-end tests to ensure application quality and reliability.
- Participate actively in code reviews, technical design discussions, and architectural decision-making processes.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to deliver maintainable and dependable software solutions.

Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in building and maintaining production applications, with strong expertise in C#/.NET backend development.
- At least 2 years of hands-on experience with modern frontend frameworks and TypeScript.
- Practical experience working with AWS services such as Lambda, API Gateway, SQS, S3, RDS/Aurora PostgreSQL, and Cognito.
- Strong knowledge of Entity Framework Core and PostgreSQL, including database schema design and optimization.
- Experience with asynchronous processing, message queues, and handling large files efficiently.
- Solid understanding of automated testing practices, secure application development, and role-based access control.
- Familiarity with Git version control, code review processes, and collaborative software development workflows.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience generating files for third-party systems using templates and structured formats like INI, CSV, or fixed-width files.
- Knowledge of USPS postal concepts such as permits, presort, MID/CRID, Mail.dat, and eInduction.
- Background in developing internal tools tailored for operations, logistics, or production teams.
