Senior Software Engineer - Testing

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer with expertise in Guidewire PolicyCenter QA to join our team. The role involves supporting quality assurance activities for Guidewire PolicyCenter and InsuranceSuite applications. The ideal candidate will have strong manual functional testing experience, familiarity with Guidewire Cloud implementations or upgrades, and knowledge of Guidewire automation testing. A solid understanding of Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance, including both Personal and Commercial Lines, is essential. This position is based in Hyderabad, Pune, Coimbatore, or Bengaluru and requires 4 to 9 years of relevant experience. The work mode is onsite.

Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with client QA teams and stakeholders to understand system requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
- Coordinate with developers and offshore QA teams to identify system gaps and validate client requirements.
- Develop and execute detailed test cases based on business requirements and system specifications.
- Test complex business rules, workflows, configurations, and integrations across Guidewire applications.
- Provide effort estimates for manual testing and support overall test planning.
- Perform manual functional testing for Guidewire Cloud implementation and upgrade projects.
- Validate integrations involving PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, ContactManager, and related InsuranceSuite applications.
- Identify requirement gaps and assess differences between business needs and out-of-the-box functionality.
- Follow Agile methodologies and adhere to established testing standards and best practices.
- Continuously improve testing processes, test coverage, and overall quality.
- Work effectively within an onsite-offshore delivery model and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Mentor junior QA team members and provide technical guidance as needed.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience testing Guidewire PolicyCenter configurations and InsuranceSuite applications, including BillingCenter and ContactManager integrations.
- Strong knowledge of P&C insurance domain, covering both Personal Lines and Commercial Lines.
- Hands-on experience with Guidewire Cloud implementation or upgrade projects.
- Expertise in manual functional testing of Guidewire applications and integrations.
- Experience with Guidewire automation testing, preferably using the Guidewire GT UI Framework.
- Working knowledge of Guidewire BillingCenter.
- Ability to assess requirement gaps and validate out-of-the-box functionality.
- Familiarity with testing standards, best practices, and continuous delivery environments.
- Experience using test management tools such as HP ALM, Jira, Azure DevOps, or Rally.
- Understanding of Agile methodologies and onsite-offshore delivery models.
- Strong analytical, critical-thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with client stakeholders and distributed teams.
- Guidewire Analyst Associate certification.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits:

- Relevant ISTQB or Agile certifications.
