Key Responsibilities
- Develop new and maintain legacy integrations across multiple platforms using various integration technologies employed at XTIUM.
- Design, develop, and sustain integration flows involving diverse platforms, APIs, databases, protocols, and data formats.
- Create reusable integration components to build scalable solutions addressing current and future challenges.
- Collaborate with engineering peers through code reviews and joint development to uphold consistent technical standards.
- Produce and maintain technical designs, sequence diagrams, and other documentation related to systems integration and operations.
- Clearly document technical details for stakeholders with varying technical expertise.
- Support the stability and daily operation of XTIUM’s integration ecosystem.
- Split time evenly between general integration development and ServiceNow backend development.
- Work closely with team members during Eastern US business hours, with occasional extended hours to meet tight deadlines.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications
- Within the last year, at least 1,000 hours of hands-on development experience with integration technologies across various platforms.
- Programming experience including one or a combination of the following:
- Minimum 500 hours dedicated to ServiceNow (Glide-related) scripting, or
- At least 1,000 hours dedicated to JavaScript programming, or
- At least 1,500 hours dedicated to any other object-oriented language.
- Minimum 500 hours dedicated to ETL engineering/development.
- At least 300 hours of ITSM/ticketing system integration, development, or administration.
- At least 100 hours writing automation scripts in PowerShell, Groovy, Bash, Python, or PHP.
- Over the last five years, at least 3,000 hours of hands-on integration development experience.
- Programming experience over five years including:
- 1,500+ hours ServiceNow scripting, or
- 3,000+ hours JavaScript, or
- 5,000+ hours other object-oriented languages.
- At least 1,500 hours ETL development and 1,000 hours ITSM/ticketing system integration/administration.
- Minimum 250 hours writing automation scripts as noted above.
- Expert knowledge of integration technologies such as REST, SOAP, ETL, XML, and JSON.
- Strong understanding of data manipulation, distribution, and database architectures, including MySQL (RDBMS) and MongoDB (NoSQL).
- Experience resolving performance issues like database bottlenecks and concurrency challenges.
- Deep expertise in architectural design, API definition, JVM stack and memory management, caching, and threading.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot complex production issues including memory leaks, network problems, and intermittent failures.
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills for technical discussions and client interactions.
- Ability to engage with all levels of internal and external business partners.
- Strong version control, quality assurance skills, and attention to detail.
- Availability for 8+ hours during 8am to 7pm Eastern US time, occasional extended hours, seasonal high-demand periods, and ad-hoc technical sessions requiring screen sharing and active collaboration.
- Adaptability to change and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Required certifications include CSA (entry admin), CAD (entry developer), CIS-ITSM, CIS-CMDB, and CIS-Integration Hub.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- Experience in ServiceNow development and administration, particularly ITSM.
- Familiarity with ServiceNow’s ITBM platform.
- Expertise in JavaScript (ES5).
- Over seven years of software engineering experience.
- Understanding of distributed systems, synchronicity, and message-based architectures.
- Experience with data stores such as PostgreSQL, Redis, Cassandra, HBase, and data warehouses like Redshift, BigQuery, and Snowflake.
- Background in business data analytics and visualization platforms.
- Experience working with customer success applications.
