Senior Specialist - Software Engineering

We are seeking experienced Full Stack Engineers with strong AI expertise to design, develop, and deploy comprehensive full stack applications. The role focuses on leveraging Claude AI and other generative AI tools to accelerate engineering workflows throughout the entire software development lifecycle (SDLC), from requirements gathering and design to deployment and monitoring. Candidates will work on integrating advanced AI capabilities into scalable web applications, enhancing productivity and code quality through AI-assisted development techniques.

Key Responsibilities

- Quickly learn and adapt to new technologies and frameworks.
- Deeply understand codebases and system designs across multiple languages including Java, Python, and JavaScript.
- Conduct thorough code reviews and contribute to system design discussions at scale, regularly managing pull requests and substantial code reviews.
- Utilize AISDLC frameworks such as BMAD, GSD, and SPECKIT to streamline development processes.
- Design and deliver end-to-end web applications, including UI, API layers, and database integration with embedded AI features.
- Build scalable, production-grade RESTful APIs primarily using Python.
- Develop responsive, high-performance front-end applications using Angular 16 or equivalent modern frameworks.
- Integrate AI and machine learning capabilities from providers like OpenAI, Azure AI, Claude, Anthropic, and AWS AI via APIs into product features.
- Employ Claude AI to accelerate SDLC tasks such as code generation, code review, debugging, refactoring, and technical documentation.
- Apply prompt engineering techniques to craft effective prompts that improve development productivity and code quality.
- Collaborate closely with AI architects, quality engineers, and business analysts within Agile squads to meet sprint commitments.
- Write clean, secure, and testable code aligned with architectural standards and coding guidelines.
- Participate actively in code reviews, design discussions, and Agile ceremonies.
- Support cross-platform optimization, performance tuning, and scalability improvements.
- Integrate asynchronous messaging and event-driven architectures using Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar technologies where required.
- Deploy and manage applications using containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.

Required Qualifications

- 3 to 5 years of full stack development experience for proficient roles; 6 to 8 years for specialist positions.
- Strong familiarity with AISDLC frameworks like BMAD, GSD, and SPECKIT.
- Backend development expertise in Java, Python, and JavaScript, including clean API design, versioning, authentication, error handling, and observability.
- Front-end development experience with Angular 16 preferred or equivalent modern frameworks, focusing on responsive and high-performance user interfaces.
- Proficiency with both SQL and NoSQL databases, including schema design, indexing, and query optimization.
- Experience designing RESTful APIs and familiarity with WebSockets or real-time communication technologies is preferred.
- Infrastructure skills including Docker, Kubernetes, deployment, scaling, and container orchestration.
- Experience with messaging systems such as Kafka or RabbitMQ for asynchronous processing.
- Proficient use of AI tools like Claude, Anthropic Claude, Sonnet, and Haiku for everyday engineering tasks.
- Strong prompt engineering skills to create, iterate, and optimize prompts for code generation, explanation, review, and test creation.
- Hands-on experience integrating AI by calling large language model (LLM) APIs such as Claude, OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, and AWS Bedrock from application code.
- Understanding of LLM concepts including context windows, token limits, embeddings, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), latency, and cost trade-offs.
- Ability to leverage AI tools such as Claude and GitHub Copilot to reduce development cycle times measurably.
- Collaborative experience working with data scientists and ML engineers to productionize AI components.

Preferred Qualifications and Additional Skills

- Experience with AI-assisted development and coding practices.
- Knowledge of application security frameworks, threat modeling, Secure SDLC, DevSecOps, and application security architecture reviews.
- Familiarity with architecture patterns and styles, secure design principles, and software engineering best practices.
- Experience with SpringBoot and TypeScript is advantageous.
- Exposure to cloud AI design assistance and advanced design patterns.
