We are currently seeking an experienced Senior SQA Automation Analyst to enhance and mature our test automation capabilities for a complex, highly configurable SaaS platform. The role focuses on accelerating Playwright automation adoption, improving regression coverage, strengthening CI/CD quality gates, and supporting AI-assisted testing initiatives. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with Product Managers, Developers, Architects, DevOps, and QA teams to improve quality processes and reduce defect leakage. This position is based in our Lahore office, working as part of the division’s R&D team.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and evolve quality engineering frameworks encompassing functional, API, integration, contract, end-to-end, performance, resilience, accessibility, security, and data quality testing.
- Select appropriate testing methods based on business risk, system behavior, feedback speed, and maintenance cost.
- Develop reusable automation components, test data utilities, reporting tools, and reference implementations.
- Establish reliable approaches for test environments, synthetic data management, setup, cleanup, and repeatable execution.
- Evaluate frameworks and tools through pilots considering effectiveness, maintainability, integration, scalability, and cost.
- Embed quality practices throughout the AI-driven development lifecycle, partnering with Product and Engineering teams to translate business intent into clear acceptance criteria and verifiable outcomes.
- Identify ambiguities, missing scenarios, integration risks, and nonfunctional requirements early in the development process.
- Establish verification practices for both human- and AI-generated code, tests, and technical artifacts, maintaining traceability between requirements, risks, and release decisions.
- Apply AI to test design, automation development, exploratory testing, failure investigation, refactoring, and documentation while critically reviewing AI-generated outputs.
- Integrate automated validation into developer workflows and CI/CD pipelines, defining quality gates based on change risk and business criticality.
- Improve test reliability, execution time, failure diagnostics, and distinguish product defects from environmental or infrastructure failures.
- Prioritize verification of business-critical workflows and use production data to refine quality priorities.
- Establish practical standards, reusable assets, and provide technical advisory support to teams.
- Coach developers and QA engineers in test design, automation, AI-assisted verification, and failure analysis.
- Facilitate knowledge sharing and promote ownership of quality within everyday engineering work.
