Senior SQA Automation Engineer

We are currently seeking an experienced Automation Engineer with over 8 years of expertise to develop, enhance, and maintain automated testing solutions for complex enterprise systems. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills in test automation frameworks, CI/CD integration, regression and API automation, and experience collaborating with cross-functional testing teams. This role involves close coordination with the Manual Test Lead, engineering, and DevOps teams to ensure comprehensive test coverage, quality, and stability throughout release cycles. Experience in banking and fintech domains is preferred.

Key Responsibilities

Automation Development & Maintenance
- Develop and maintain automation scripts for regression, functional, and system integration testing (SIT).
- Design reusable automation frameworks, utilities, and libraries.
- Debug, optimize, and enhance test scripts to improve reliability and performance.
- Ensure automated tests are scalable, modular, and adhere to best practices.

CI/CD Integration
- Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or equivalent.
- Configure automated execution triggers for nightly builds, code merges, and release cycles.
- Implement reporting and logging outputs directly into CI/CD dashboards.

Testing & Quality Assurance
- Ensure comprehensive test coverage, including UI, API, SIT, and end-to-end scenarios.
- Collaborate with the Manual Test Lead to identify automation candidates and prioritize testing efforts.
- Prepare detailed test reports, execution logs, error summaries, and coverage metrics.
- Participate in defect triage meetings and provide technical insights on automation failures.

Collaboration & Support
- Work closely with developers, architects, QA, and DevOps teams to ensure test environment readiness.
- Mentor junior team members on automation best practices.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives in testing methodologies and tools.

Required Qualifications

Automation & Framework Expertise
- Strong hands-on experience with automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, TestNG, and JUnit.
- Proven ability to design and build scalable, modular automation frameworks from scratch.

API Automation
- Proficiency with REST Assured, Postman, Karate, or similar tools.
- Experience automating REST APIs and validating request/response structures.

Programming & Scripting
- Strong programming skills in at least two languages among Java, Python, and JavaScript.

CI/CD & Version Control
- Experience integrating automation with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Bitbucket Pipelines.
- Familiarity with Git-based workflows.

Database Skills
- Experience using SQL for backend validation and test data preparation.

Testing Knowledge
- Deep understanding of System Integration Testing (SIT), end-to-end testing, regression testing, and testing complex enterprise systems.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
