Paklogics is seeking an experienced Software Quality Assurance (SQA) Engineer to join our team in Faisalabad, Pakistan. This full-time, onsite role requires a professional with over four years of experience in both manual and automated testing. The successful candidate will take ownership of quality assurance across large-scale mobile and web applications, ensuring robust testing processes and delivering high-quality software products.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive test plans, scenarios, test cases, and acceptance criteria to ensure thorough coverage.
- Execute various testing types including functional, regression, integration, exploratory, usability, and end-to-end testing.
- Conduct extensive testing of iOS and Android mobile applications.
- Test web applications, administrative portals, REST APIs, and backend services to ensure seamless functionality.
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites focused on critical regression and end-to-end workflows.
- Perform cross-device and cross-platform testing to guarantee consistent performance.
- Validate third-party integrations and complex application workflows for accuracy and reliability.
- Identify, document, prioritize, and track defects through to resolution.
- Conduct release validation and production smoke testing to ensure readiness.
- Collaborate closely with developers to reproduce issues and facilitate timely resolution.
- Participate actively in sprint planning, requirement reviews, release planning, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Continuously contribute to the improvement of QA processes and standards within the team.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in software quality assurance and testing.
- Proven expertise in testing large-scale mobile applications with strong manual testing skills.
- Hands-on experience with automation tools such as Appium, Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or equivalent frameworks.
- Proficient in API testing using Postman or similar tools.
- Solid understanding of REST APIs, JSON, HTTP protocols, databases, and client-server architecture.
- Experience in regression, integration, end-to-end, and cross-platform testing methodologies.
- Familiarity with integrating automated tests into CI/CD workflows is preferred.
- Strong analytical skills for defect analysis and troubleshooting.
- Clear, confident, and proficient English communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to communicate effectively across teams.
Preferred Qualifications and Additional Information
