We are currently seeking a Senior SQA Engineer to join our agile software development team in Lahore, Pakistan. In this role, you will contribute to fast-paced development projects for both our products and client engagements, with a strong emphasis on functional testing and a growing focus on automation and DevOps practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain automated end-to-end tests using JavaScript or C#.
- Collaborate with users and team members to define acceptance criteria and create test plans for user stories.
- Perform functional and exploratory testing of user interfaces and APIs.
- Document clear and reproducible bug reports.
- Establish and maintain test cases, test environments, and test data.
- Manage software merges and releases effectively.
- Test APIs with a focus on RESTful web services.
- Query SQL databases to validate data and support testing activities.
- Analyze complex software systems and work collaboratively to improve overall design.
- Participate actively in agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, retrospectives, and ‘3 amigos’ sessions.
Required Qualifications
- Relevant degree or equivalent professional qualification in a related field.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a natural curiosity for breaking things and diagnosing issues.
- Experience scripting web automation using tools like Selenium WebDriver.
- Proficiency with API testing tools such as Postman and SOAP UI.
- Familiarity with web diagnostic and debugging tools including Chrome/Firefox Developer Tools and Fiddler.
- Solid understanding of RESTful HTTP services and API description languages like OpenAPI (Swagger).
- Knowledge of cloud application development, particularly with Microsoft Azure.
- Experience working with source control systems, especially git, in a collaborative team environment.
- Understanding of messaging and event-driven application architectures.
