Paklogics is seeking a skilled Software Quality Assurance (SQA) Engineer with over four years of experience to join our team in Faisalabad, Pakistan. This full-time, onsite role involves taking ownership of quality assurance for large-scale mobile and web applications. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in both manual and automated testing, with a focus on delivering reliable, high-quality software products.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive test plans, scenarios, test cases, and acceptance criteria to ensure thorough coverage.
- Execute various types of testing including functional, regression, integration, exploratory, usability, and end-to-end testing.
- Conduct extensive testing of iOS and Android mobile applications.
- Test web applications, admin portals, REST APIs, and backend services to ensure seamless functionality.
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites targeting critical regression and end-to-end workflows.
- Perform cross-device and cross-platform testing to guarantee consistent user experience.
- Validate third-party integrations and complex application workflows.
- Identify, document, prioritize, and track defects through to resolution.
- Conduct release validation and production smoke testing to ensure readiness.
- Collaborate closely with development teams to reproduce and resolve issues efficiently.
- Participate actively in sprint planning, requirement reviews, release planning, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes and standards within the organization.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in software quality assurance and testing.
- Proven expertise in testing large-scale mobile applications with strong manual testing skills.
- Hands-on experience with automation frameworks such as Appium, Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or equivalent tools.
- Proficiency in API testing using Postman or similar tools.
- Solid understanding of REST APIs, JSON, HTTP protocols, databases, and client-server architecture.
- Experience in regression, integration, end-to-end, and cross-platform testing methodologies.
- Familiarity with integrating automated tests into Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) workflows is preferred.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot and analyze defects effectively.
- Clear, confident, and proficient English communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to communicate findings clearly and professionally.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience testing applications in regulated industries such as FinTech, insurance, healthcare, or payment systems is considered an advantage.
- Passion for software quality, automation, and building reliable, user-centric products.
