Senior SQL Developer

Our innovative product suite—including Nexus, AI Intelligence Hub, AI Live Insight, and Redactor—enables organizations to search, analyze, redact, and act on unstructured data across multiple formats such as video, audio, images, documents, and text. Serving over 100 customers across sectors like public safety, government, healthcare, financial services, education, legal, manufacturing, and energy, many of our solutions operate in secure environments including on-premises, air-gapped, and FedRAMP High architectures. As an independent software vendor, we focus on empowering our partners and customers rather than direct sales, which shapes the collaborative and partner-centric culture of our team.

Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain Microsoft SQL Server databases to support business applications and reporting needs.
- Review and validate AI-generated outputs to ensure accuracy, completeness, logic, compliance, and alignment with business requirements.
- Take full ownership and accountability for final deliverables, regardless of AI assistance.
- Critically evaluate AI results and refine outputs to meet quality standards.
- Write and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, triggers, and functions.
- Ensure database performance, integrity, and security through proactive monitoring and troubleshooting.
- Support database backup, restore, and recovery processes.
- Assist in data migration, ETL processes, and integration between systems.
- Collaborate closely with software engineers, QA, and DevOps teams to ensure seamless data flow and system reliability.
- Participate in database documentation and version control practices.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server.
- Strong expertise in T-SQL, including query writing, joins, indexing, and query optimization.
- Solid understanding of database normalization, data modeling, and entity-relationship diagrams.
- Proven knowledge of backup and recovery strategies, database security, and performance tuning.
- Advanced proficiency with SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) or similar database tools.
- Hands-on experience with ETL concepts and data integration workflows.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively use AI tools (such as Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot) to support work outputs, while exercising strong judgment and ownership of final deliverables.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with cloud-based databases like Azure SQL or AWS RDS.
- Familiarity with Power BI or other business intelligence and reporting tools.
- Understanding of NoSQL databases or data warehousing concepts.
