As a Senior Staff Accountant at Creative Chaos, you will be an integral part of the finance team, responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the overall financial management of the company. Your role will involve preparing financial reports, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and assisting with various accounting tasks to support smooth financial operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Recording Financial Transactions: Accurately record daily banking and credit card transactions in the financial books, ensuring completeness and error-free entries.
- Bank Reconciliations: Conduct regular bank reconciliations to verify that financial records align with bank statements, promptly resolving any discrepancies.
- Accounts Payable and Receivable: Manage the recording and timely processing of bills and invoices, while maintaining records of outstanding customer invoices and vendor bills.
- General Journal Entries: Prepare and enter general journal entries for financial transactions that do not fall under standard categories.
- Vendor and Customer Statement Reconciliation: Reconcile vendor and customer statements to ensure consistency between internal records and external statements, addressing any differences.
- Month-End Accruals: Accurately record month-end accruals to reflect outstanding expenses or revenues, ensuring financial statements are current.
- Payroll Processing: Assist in recording and processing payroll transactions as part of the payroll cycle.
- Prepaid Expense Schedules: Prepare and maintain schedules for prepaid expenses to accurately represent these on the balance sheet.
- Fixed Assets Register: Maintain an updated fixed assets register, tracking asset values and depreciation.
- Inventory Reconciliation: Reconcile inventory records with physical counts and make necessary adjustments to maintain accurate valuations.
- 1099 Reporting: Generate 1099 data for review and compliance purposes.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 3 to 5 years of accounting experience, preferably working with US clients.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and regulations.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
- Proficiency with QuickBooks or similar accounting software is advantageous.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility to work shift hours from 6 PM to 3 AM Pakistan time.
Preferred Qualifications and Benefits:
