Senior Technical Consultant - Networks

New Horizon is seeking a Senior Technical Consultant – Networks to join our team in Karachi. In this role, you will provide expert technical support throughout the development, testing, deployment, and maintenance phases of enterprise network solutions. Your focus will span across WAN, LAN, WLAN, and SDN environments, ensuring robust and secure network infrastructures that meet organizational needs.

Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement comprehensive enterprise WAN, LAN, WLAN, and SDN network solutions tailored to business requirements.
- Define and deploy network security architectures to safeguard enterprise assets.
- Install, configure, and manage critical network devices including routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and SDN systems.
- Establish operational standards, baselines, and governance practices to maintain network integrity and performance.
- Analyze network performance metrics and recommend improvements to optimize efficiency and reliability.
- Troubleshoot complex network issues, providing timely support to internal teams and vendor partners.
- Mentor and guide junior network team members, fostering skill development and knowledge sharing.

Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 6 years’ experience working with enterprise network hardware and software.
- Proficient with switches from Huawei, Cisco, and H3C.
- Experienced in configuring and managing routers from Huawei and Cisco.
- Skilled in WLAN technologies from Huawei, Cisco, H3C, and Juniper.
- Hands-on experience with firewalls including Fortinet, Sangfor, and Huawei.
- Expertise in SDN platforms such as Huawei iMaster NCE Campus, Huawei iMaster CampusInsight, and VMware NSX.
- Mandatory professional-level network certification such as HCIP Datacom or CCNP.

Preferred Qualifications and Certifications
- Expert-level network certifications like HCIE Datacom or CCIE are highly desirable.
- Security certifications such as Fortinet FCA, Fortinet FCP, or CCNP Security will be considered an advantage.
