Senior Technical Project Manager

Codup is looking for a Senior Technical Project Manager to oversee and deliver complex IT projects from inception to completion. In this role, you will manage project scope, timelines, and resources while ensuring high-quality outcomes. You will work within a team that integrates AI-assisted workflows into project management practices, utilizing tools such as Claude, custom internal systems, and automation. This approach allows you to produce project artifacts more efficiently, iterate plans effectively, and concentrate your expertise on strategic decision-making and risk mitigation rather than manual documentation.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the full lifecycle of technical project delivery, ensuring projects meet deadlines, stay within scope, and achieve quality standards. Collaborate with stakeholders and cross-functional teams to define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and success criteria. Develop detailed project plans, allocate resources strategically, and create schedules and timeline forecasts using appropriate tools and data to support informed decision-making. Communicate project progress, risks, dependencies, and updates clearly and appropriately to various audiences. Identify and mitigate risks proactively, addressing issues and dependencies to prevent delivery challenges. Manage project budgets, monitor expenses, and forecast resource needs to optimize team capacity. Provide leadership to cross-functional teams by fostering collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement through mentorship and clear guidance. Utilize AI and automation tools to enhance productivity, streamline documentation, accelerate reporting, and support data-driven decisions while maintaining human oversight. Conduct post-project reviews to refine project management processes, delivery practices, and team efficiency. Stay updated on emerging project management methodologies, AI capabilities, and tools such as Claude Code and internal systems to continuously improve operational efficiency.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field. PMP, PgMP, or equivalent project management certifications are preferred. A minimum of five years’ experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder technical projects. Strong knowledge of Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall methodologies. Proficiency with project management tools such as JIRA, Microsoft Project, Asana, or equivalents. Demonstrated ability to leverage AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude) to enhance work efficiency, with a willingness to experiment, iterate, and assess output quality. Capacity to manage multiple high-priority projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. Proven experience leading cross-functional teams and driving accountability. Strong judgment in evaluating AI-generated artifacts, knowing when outputs are sufficient, require refinement, or need manual intervention.
